Lyanna
Matriarch Lyanna, Dual Dream Bear Sorc
Once you have built two Dreams it is obviously going to end up here eventually, so here is my take on the build. Her name has a slightly cryptic source, so I will see if anyone can figure out where it comes from and why, without using the web.

I didn't have the Jewels for a 6os Phase Blade, so I went with Griswold's Redemption. She leeched reasonably OK, a bit more physical damage would have been nice, but it was workable. I went with the same Crushing Blow equipment that I used on Isklor, so they had very similar equipment. The 1.10a BKWB was mainly for a bit more of a werebear boost, it didn't really make much difference to the already ridiculous damage.

Gameplay
Game was played at /players8 all the way, hence the high level. It is obviously pretty simple gameplay as a bear, suit up and whack stuff. I decided not to bother with Call to Arms, as swapping weapons to pre-buff is a bit annoying, but I was a bit worried about how the merc would survive. Much better than me was the answer. I had several deaths, some down to my usual carelessness, some because I underestimated how fragile she was. The enormous damage gave me a sense of invincibility as pretty much everything melted before her. But monsters hit hard at p8 and she had no block and only 8% DR from the armour.
At this point comparisons to Isklor are inevitable, as they had almost identical gear. Lyanna got AR from Enchant, Isklor from the BA merc. Lyanna got Holy Freeze from the merc, Isklor provided it himself.
Well Lyanna wins hands down for power, but I actually preferred Isklor as a build, he is much more balanced in terms of attack and defence. That Holy Shield blocking really makes a difference when you have to go toe to toe with everything. In retrospect the crushing blow was a waste of time when the lightning damage is so ridiculous. I could have put in Bloodfist and Aldur's boots for more life and FHR. I did debate if T-Gods was a good idea and if I would have been better with a SoE. Probably bringing both would have been better and swapping in T-Gods when needed. Or maybe using a Wisp Projector instead of the BKBW and keeping SoE on all the time. Ah well, that is what respecs are for.
Don't get me wrong, she was still a fun build and I enjoyed playing her, but I probably would make a few different decisions if I did it again.
Epilogue
I seem to recall someone saying that Energy Shield looked like a gold hat on a bear, so I muled on a Memory staff to try it. Actually it looks more like the bear is trying to head a golden football.
I also wondered why nobody ever does a single Dream sorc.
Well base Holy Shock damage is 1-648 for a single Dream, vs 1-1688 for two. Quite a difference. Lightning Mastery at level 20 is 278% or 398% at level 30. But this is applied twice for a melee attack, once when 'cast' and again when you hit. These are the numbers you see in the LCS (so I wouldn't get 50K damage if you attack with a bow). So for melee attacks:
- Single Dream and level 20 Lightning Mastery: 3-9257
- Single Dream and level 30 Lightning Mastery: 4-16070
Now however you look at it, that isn't too shabby, similar to the lightning damage I had on Isklor with two dreams. Consider that it frees up either the helm or shield slot and it opens up some interesting routes. Stormshield is an obvious choice which would make the sorc much tougher.
