Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

I didn't want to have to clean up after someone water-ballooned the place!

Fine...

*presses auto-cleaning button*

I got my first smart phone this week. My old car has also been towed away. What a crazy couple of weeks it's been.

@Ariadne - Yay for booked flights. Sorry if I missed it, but are you heading far? Why don't you like window seats? I prefer to be on the window.
I never go far. I nearly always go to Northern Ireland to see my bf. I hate window seats. If I need to use the bathroom, I have to cause a tiny Mexican wave. If the sun glares in - and it nearly always does - it glares in on me, and I hate the sun as it makes me sick (literally). with an aisle seat I can sometimes smuggle my sore legs into the aisle, giving them a bit more space.
I hate flying.

Meow! My Doctor has basically said he can't do anything more for me but will continue to think about anything else that could be causing it. Yey?

He means he can't find it and won't someone else try? Doctors have egos. In the meantime, shop around, ask around, any hint can steer you in the right direction. Also, if it's beginning to feel heavy, but preferably before, find someone to support you, see a professional for mental help. Doesn't mean there's something wrong with you or that you're not right in the head, but if you are dealing with something for which there is no solution, it can help if you learn how to deal with it before it gets you down.

Not doing that again, firstly on neither Easyjet nor small KLM planes - which is all that flies to Northern Ireland - does it make a difference in legroom, it also means I'm not allowed to stash my bag underneath the front seat, and I need it during my flight. Crap, just realised I might be on the emergency row. Bollocks.

I've been driving for well over 30 years now and I have never had a speeding ticket. I was taught a major lesson within a year of getting my licence and I have never deliberately broken the speed limit since. I was running late to meet up with a few friends, we had hired a boat and were going out on the bay for a days fishing, and I was driving at over 100mph through the countryside to meet them. On the way home that evening I drove through a small town that wasn't there during my morning drive; that really shook me up!

@Cyrax: You can enjoy your flowers for a few days and if they come with a vase or he buys some that you could plant or are in a pot with earth you can enjoy them longer, the dinner is over in an evening and you don't want to enjoy the dinner a second time.

@Kitteh: Did he send you forward to a specialist or something or another specialist?

They can't put you in an emergency aisle seat on a plane unless you're 'capable' and willing to perform the requirements. That's for the flights I've taken though, and those seats have had more leg room, but for me, I don't need a lot, so don't need it.

PCCG pre-builts look fine to me. I'd probably go the I5 version (though you could save a bit of money building yourself).
I've heard the i7's are basically irrelevant unless you're really heavily using 3D rendering software or movie creation or something that I would not be doing. And i3's are the lower end, which may not keep up with modern things.

It's the whole video card series that I now get lost in. ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html ) The amount of GTX's, and without looking them up, they don't give a lot of detail by name alone. :(
Technology, amiright?

And, yeah, definitely know building it always saves money. It's getting the right components and ensuring their compatible that I'm not a fan of. Plus, putting it together, and damaging a pin. I'd prefer not to to be honest.

try r/buildapcforme to start and r/buildapc (bapc? google it) for further questions if needed. I built my first PC in december no issues. Took ~1 hr for the 1st time, if you ignore the hour I spent confused about one of the power cords. Easily added a backup HDD a few weeks later as well. PC part picker is fairly reliable when it comes to compatibility from what I hear and most people will generate a list with that. Here's an early/partial list of what I used to build my PC that I have bookmarked still as an example.

edit: and I don't remember which video I watched but I basically just watched a video as a guideline on how to put it all together!

edit2: this might be the video... it's the same guy I think. There were a few related videos describing setup of windows 10 as well (formatting and obvious things to get or remove)

On airplanes now I've learned the aisle is the best seat. I get room to stretch a little, and I don't have to look down during take off/ landing.

Just did a 3 hr walk starting at midnight. Nice cool weather outside and no sunburn because it's of course night time, but now my feet are killing me.

I managed to pick an aisle seat with two empty ones next to it, yesterday. Hooray!.

Cheers for the extra space on an eight-hour flight.
Jeers for it being the unfashionable row near the mid-cabin toilets.

Still, it's a timely reminder why I hate people. Idjits infringing upon the tiny amount of personal space one gets flying cattle class every few minutes. Finally the "no weapons" rule on flights makes sense.

I walked down our city's main road from the south end to downtown and then back. My city is also one of the safest (if not the safest) in Canada

About halfway on my path was my university so I didn't expect any problems.

I built my PC specifically for D3's release and it performed flawlessly playing the game. My monitor was only 60 Hz refresh rate though, and if I did not have vsync on there would be some weirdness with the text on screen, of all things.
Of course it handles D2. As a matter of fact, I've never noticed either fan on the graphics card running while playing D2. With D3 I could hear the GPU rev up every now and then though.

I love walking at night, have asthma and its so much nicer for me. Plus i love the quiet.
