1.07 News, Info and Gossip

At this point I'd be happy with Sets. All I'm getting is Blue and Yellow.
although it's still a low chance (~1/200 iirc) for a bosspack to drop a unique, they're probably your best bet for random drops. When running racks int he halls of vaught I would kill the champions and the evil urn boss and I have been lucky to get a few really nice items like blackhorn's face and vampire gaze from them
 
Yup, the stun is insane. The stun skill or whatever they use may have been nerfed later on (is it the barb skill, or?)

Does anyone know what unique jewellery andy/meph/diablo can drop? I shouldn't be too far away from 556% MF and I'm tempted to go for some of those nice things like saracen's iirc.

Also if ATMa is accurate for their drops (I know it's the normal difficulty TC limits on them). I'm not sure if some/all of these items actually exist in 1.07
 
Some of the items in ATMA drop calc aren't attainable like windforce, but I'm not sure if there are others that simply don't exist but the names are shown in ATMA. I would assume they all should exist in 1.07 (at least theoretically) but I'm not sure how the program is made, after all. It's not like it's accurate since it claims the hell bosses can drop things you would expect them to like hell andy dropping guardian angel for example
 
But those items can't be dropped cause of their high TC. Doesn't jewelry work in a different way?
Right. I forgot I specifically asked about jewelry :p
is ATMA right for those? It appears the only difference is whether mara's can drop or not. Andy cannot drop it
 
Being reminded in another thread about lower res reducing magic resistance makes me wonder if bone spear or spirit are very useful in 1.07, and if so, where a bonemancer would be able to run? Cows?

What other backup skills would be useful in 1.07? iirc iron golem is useless and so is fire golem, presumably... are revives useful? I heard skeletons are super weak but maybe an army + bone spear would still be effective simply because no synergies are needed and meatshields are always nice :D

Any experience or suggestions? Perhaps even a meleemancer with high DR% since iirc bone armor is towards the end of the dmg calculation...

edit: why am I doing this, I need to get out of 1.07 asap before it consumes me whole. It's been 3 months of this nonsense!
 
I am not sure when they fixed the marrowwalkers bug? Does it work in 1.07? If so, marrows would be a fine choice, if they exist that is. Perhaps that was a 1.10 build though, everything is blurred up in my mind. Actually scratch that, it was introduced with 1.10.
 
No Marrows in 1.07.

pharphis - my first try in 1.07 was a Necro much like you are describing. I found him intolerably tedious in Normal Act 5. Might be good as soon as you can get some revives though (maybe I'll revisit) - since Amp breaks everything, you could use revives and CE throughout the game, and maybe leveraged poison with PD for bosses. That may have been my build plan.

I've got a p&b necro parked at the beginning of Nightmare. I was planning to go Bspear, PoNova and LR, but I'm still waiting for some half useful equipment to appear before continuing.
 
Coool, found a LK map that gives two different sets of things depending on the loop I take b/w campfires. One way gives wired fleece/grim helm +(occasional) Colossus blade. the other route gives bramble mitts + devil star + colossus blade (80%, 20% mat javs).

Both routes can include a balrog skin rack at the end (also near WP) which is stable regardless of route. Though it's maybe 50/50 balrog/myrmidon greaves... I haven't figured out the exact way to do it yet

Can someone tell me under 1.07 where to get (if I go for it specifically) Hotspur (it already has the + max fire res, right?) and Death Hand?
Well, if there'd be a proper MF-calculator somewhere for further use...
 
The calculator on ATMA seems to work. I've had some results that in practice seemed didn't quit turn out the way it was suppose to, perhaps the gods of RND were just against me though. You also need to tune the amount of MF you have to suit the drop. When you are looking for set items, more is not always better. Rack may be your best bet, but I find it so tedious I can only do it for a half an hour or so before I start shouting obscenities at the screen.
 
either racks (both should be findable by A2 at the latest, probably late A1) or hitting the MF breakpoint for unique drops from bosses in HELL at 556% MF. I know, it's silly. A3 is easiest to find racks in so if you're going to try the rack route try LK in NM or hell to get other useful items as well on the same map (valk wing, skullder's, arkaine's, etc.)
 
There's also a breakpoint for sets at 334mf in hell for superuniques. I would go Andy for Hotspur with 556mf and Blood Raven or Council with 334mf if not racking.
