Very nice drop, LHtB! Please do test it...I've never heard that the slow doesn't work, but confirmation one way or the other would be nice. It does further demonstrate that +min/max damage is not applied to unique two-handers, which is a real shame if its not just a display issue...need to test that, too, at some point...
It does slow by a fair amount, at least brought forward to 1.10+, I'm certain of that. I don't know if it slows any more than a normal "75% slow" Kelpie- I think there is a lower cap on the speed of monsters, and a normal 1.10+ Kelpie reaches that, as does a 1.07 Kelpie, but for Extra Fast monsters there may be a difference. That would be the thing to check. One thing to be aware of in any slowing experiments is that all sources of slow are considered for each attack and only the most recent source of slow applies. So if a merc hits a monster with 120%+ slow (Kelpie + Blackhorn's) and then a moment later you hit the monster (wearing Archnid Mesh, with 10% slow, the 10% slow overwrites the 120% slow from before.
It's called the LCS for a reason imo, time to hire a act2 merc and do some testing, after some more levelling I think, Baal runs still give good (~1/3 lvl) exp

I have to say, the big +STR automod makes for some very nice twinking rings...
I went ahead and socked the Ist I found a couple weeks ago in the Gull on her MF switch (Gull+Milebrega's Orb). Also crafted a few Colossus Blades while I was crafting and got a nice weapon for the Merc...I doubt it will replace his >350%ED Colossus Sword for everyday use, but its increased speed and faster base meant I can use the sockets for my very, very best 1.07 MF jewels(2xEmerald jewel of Prosperity, one 7%, the other 6%, and a rare jewel with 7%MF and a touch of lightning damage...:badteeth That and the +ED to demons makes it a good weapon for Hell Act Boss running(556%MF), as all act bosses are demons...

A regular cow dropped a blue long war bow...it was a Pestilent long war bow of Anthrax!!! I S&E, muled the bow to a rushee that has a couple socket quests left, and showed it to Larzuk...

Ty the franklin. Yeah i run 8 player games (modified dll) with this build. And in 8 player games i thin 100% CB is hard to beat in this patch.
I dont love "cause monsters to flee" ofcourse but i dont hate it either. I have tried without but i think i felt it was to much of a damage drop.
With 100%CB i dont feel i am missing damage i dont get with dexterity but it would be really cool to try a javelin with ctc amp damage . That would definately help with the slivered cows i take down with bow.
Regarding ctc firebolt. Do you mean that ctc on striking is not only counting the javelin hit but all LF hits (and thus the same with amp damage??) If so that would be nice :crazyeyes:
I looked in Atma but couldnt find a javelin with ctc amp so ill try and find one to test this..
I just popped the Kelpie on my druid and hit some stuff in the Arcane Sanctuary in Hell. It does slow, but the slow seems to stop as soon as the monster makes a decision. I could get a monster to slow if it was chasing me, but would be back at normal speed if it stopped to hit something else, or if I tagged it with slow while it was attacking, then it would decide to follow me and not be slowed. I played through the entire game with the Kelpie on my Sorc and barely ever noticed the slow.
BTW, nice bow! Let us know how that does plunking away at phys immune in hell!

Since I had the Woestave right there, I checked the slow on it(50%) and have to agree that Slows Target just doesn't work right...its also missing the ED, Open Wounds, Hit Blinds Target, and Freezes Target (just as well on that one...ATMA would freak...) and has some piddly poison damage and poison resist instead... Definitely one of the 1.07 uniques to skip, IMO...
