The Halls of the Dead level is located in the Dry Hills of Act II. Here you can find the Horadric Cube, used to create a Horadric Staff for The Horadric Staff quest.

You can reach the Halls of the Dead from the Dry Hills, where there handily is a waypoint. There is also a waypoint on Level 2 of the Halls of the Dead, which you should not miss to activate.
On Level 3 is where you finally find your Horadric Cube. You will also find the superunique Blood Witch the Wild waiting in the same room. Once you have done this part of The Horadric Staff quest on the Normal difficulty, you do not have to repeat it on Nightmare or Hell. The cube is also excellent as it gives you a few extra empty slots of inventory to stash items.

- Monster levels are usually always equal to the area level with exception to uniques (mlvl +3) and champions (mlvl +2).
- Returned appear as minions of the Hollow One and are considered one monster variant together.
