oh, did i mention that red pants also gives you the godly speed powers of santa claus?BUT BUT! You lose an insignificant amount of run/walk speed that may make a difference in 1 out of 10000 duels. You might run and hit a Nec with normal attack, but then miss it by 1 frame where the 5% actually made a difference. By the way, have I ever told you I have red pants? :O

but also, theoretically, a slower WW movement speed will give slightly higher damage for a couple of reasons. because of the slower velocity, each arm of your dod will last longer, meaning relatively fewer initial hit checks (less hits with only your primary weapon). in addition, because you'll have to recast whirl less over time, you'll have less gaps between your whirls (you get 4 to 7 frames without a hit check when you restart a whirl), meaning more total hit checks over time. now, whether that 5% slower speed actually results in tangible damage increases, i'm not sure. did i mention it looks cool? :grin:
regarding your second question, are you talking about WSM bugging or the indestructibility?

I personally do not like gothic as standard armor because I think that slow WW speed sucks in different matchups, e.g. vs trappers and vs telesmiters.
The damage increases in tanking situations, but usually ghost can win those duels anyway, thats why I chose MP on my sin.
I'm still looking for a GG 2/20/30/2sock @ circ to increase my whirl movement speed, but I also kick a lot against chars that I could triwhirl so the 'dmg loss' isnt so significant for me.
The red panties are sexy, though :-D
