WW Ghost Assassin Guide V2.0

You can kill a correctly built gear switching BvC with a Ghost if you use a pretty comprehensive gear switch (get lots of AR and damage). You will lose a 1v1 ft5 against a good player something like 5-2. I'm not sure if the win/loss chances are better or worse with a widowmaker, I wasn't a very good bowsin when I played so other people might have better luck, but I found that BvCs still won FT5 and it was a lot less fun.

The key to WWsin vs. BvC is forcing the BvC to straight WW you. If you WW along the same line you are screwed. In a straight WW situation your block can save you. My sin had 5k displayed WW damage (unbuffed) and 16+k AR and she could take some barbs. This assumes the barb has 6k life or so. A good vita BvC is totally impossible with Bramble, in such a case widow is clearly the better option.

Bramble + AR rocks vs. smiters, it won't save you from good telesmiters, but then nothing really will. Don't use bramble vs. a V/T unless you totally negate his FoH, running around ruins your claw block and WW vs. Smite exchanges are okay with enigma because his damage isn't quite as high.

My Bramble setup:

2Sin/Visionary/30FRW/27STR/58Mana/1 Socket helm (40/15 jewel)
Maras
Bramble
40IAS/278%ED/Fools Claw (Um)
Chaos
Gores
Dungos
x2 Ravens
Trangs

Optional Widow on switch (you can keep a CTA in your inventory)

3.8k Life
5k WW on both claws
16k AR

Some people don't like the melee switch, I think that at the very least it's fun and it only cost me 7 STR points to make it happen. It's also great for Ghost vs. Ghost unless the opponent really knows what they're doing (if they chip with MB and play defense a Ghost usually beats a Brambler).

yea, i started using a new melee setup that's been purty good so far.

gskull (2x -15%req/15res)
angelic ammy
ebug suwayyah chaos
ebug scissor suwayyah fury
fort
trangs
2x angelic rings
dungos
imp shanks

Stats

i basically just try and whirl away and change directions very often, so that the baba is forced to tele whirl me. with the KB on the gskull, i often get 1-2 extra hits when they teleport on me. i've found that i'm beating most well equipped bvcs these days, but still, if the were to slap on a block setup or a fort, i probably wouldn't be able to pull off any winning percentage.

using the widow is so much more fun anyway

Current gear at the moment.

x2um'd Fools Runic Talons of quickness (Thanks to baba that gave it to me<3)
2/20/20dext,14resist circlet (so I socket this with 15ias/15 right?)
3xcold resist boots with fhr/frw and another pair 3xfire,3xlight,frw.
My rings are raven 20/214 and 10fcr,102 ar,10 resist,4min damage <--I swap this out for 10fcr,ar,25+resist ring when I 1v1 a sorc

kinda in trouble, 2.7k life with bo. Majority of shadow are plains but I still need to get ar/life scs.
12k ar fools side, 4.7k on chaos, 4.9k fury. I'll reach 5k when I get my scs

I tried practice dueling a couple of sorcs and I pretty much STILL die in one hit from lightning/blizzard. (Those claw blocks aren't happening :-P)

Haven't quite lost to a smiter yet until his lifetap trigs, I just ww away and have been hitting/winning quite abit.
Regarding bvc problem, I usually make the barb come teleport to me so I could try to sneak a hit or two the moment he does. (Sort of like hammerdin jumping ontop while you ww away) Though this seems to work for abit, he tanks quite abit and I'm venom type instead of physical so he pretty much sooner or later kills me. ><
I have stats points saved to wear bramble if I decide to use one, and as you guys mentioned.. still pretty much a losing percentage if they use block fort, is it really worth using those stats into str? Should I stick with enigma, pump vital, ignore barbs, go for casters?

Btw, thanks for helping me answer every little problem I have ~~ Great community <3

well, with those kind of stats, you won't ever really be able to beat a baba, even with a bramble. i would get some sort of widowmaker setup (with cats eye) so you at least have a chance.

am I suppose to only see one attack rating for ww? I have to repeatedly re-equip the claws to see two ww attack ratings but then one of them disappears when I switch spells. Is this normal?

only the +AR on the primary will show up on WW. make sure your fury/fools is over the gloves, or over the boots if you WSM bug.

Hi, I am new to assassins and have read your guide. But I just wonder one thing: what is "Fools modded claw"?

Fool's is a magical attribute that gives AR BoCL. It helps boost attack rating and therefore helps to hit higher def chars than without it. Also, look for speed to hit the bps and other mods too ( +3 venom and +3 ls would be fantastic)

so fools modded claws can be rare and magical claws that just gives much ar?

Hey tienje i was wondering if i should change my claws cause i like gts but i feel like they do such little damage against people idk wut do u think lol im venom based but idk y such low damage should i change up my setup?

You might want to fix what you wrote about claw mastery - it gives critical strike, not deadly strike. They are different, are counted up seperately, but also work the same way. So on the bottom where you added up your Assassin's DS, you should exclude the 2x% from mastery.

to be honest, there are a lot of little things that i want to edit i this guide, but i don't bother to because i need to PM a mod to get things changed.

i've already taken the CS vs DS calculation into account when calculating my ghost's % chance in the later section. as you can see, 34 + 33 + 23 don't add up to 75 if it's linear. thats why i list the 75% as the "effective" DS rather than just total DS + CS, because they're clearly different. deciding to exclude CS from "effective" DS calculations is a matter of nomenclature. i decided to include CS in the number because it means more, and separated it from just item DS by including the preceding "effective".

what term would you use to reflect CS + DS anyway? "chance to deal double damage" was a little too long for me.

Er... I am being told that only hard points and not +skills in fade will give dr. Is this true?
And is there any way to prove that +skills works with fade if it does? This person is saying dr is passive with hard points.

+skills work with fade. its been tested iirc.

Why do you use a Gothic Plate instead of a Mage Plate for your Enigma O.o
And another question, how is your Chaos Claw buggued and how do we make it bugued?
Thank you
