zDadColdSorc is still sitting at level 88 eighty-eight. I have been focusing on farming some basic gear before leveling more. Although I may grind it out to level 90 to see if I get any of the high TC drops(Nightwing or Death's Fathom) and finish my wish list.

She is sitting at 69 when I realized that I couldn't add her to this table and I decided to make an untwinked gunslinger. Takes FOREVER untwinked... Question: Is there an easy way to know where a given item can show up (so I know where to run)? RazorTail is high on the desire list... Required level shows up as 32, and Eldritch is 34, so he should be able to drop it, correct?

I did some more CS runs after LK, but xp is so incredibly slow at this stage. As a consequence, my Sorc still isn't very far on her way to 98. Maybe the 1/10 mark, or not even there.
I'm all over D3 now though, so it might be a while before I'm back to this.

Whoops. I've learned a valuable lesson today. Don't play hardcore D2 while intoxicated and trying to catch up on the walking dead. Very frustrating as you can see the full juvs in my belt. No matter, I don't think it was my play style anyhow.

Been a while since Tarasha's last update so well done in getting to 90+ and welcome to all the new recent arrivals.
Tarasha has been running the 4 chests in the mausoleum and crypt solidly but in indolent fashion for a while now stepping down her gear to improve mf and increase safety. (in practice replacing 4 of the cold skillers with resist sc's and gc's). She has an away team now!

And on finding a pair of 43 travellers her 40 chanceguards, shaco, isted alibabas, 40 gheeds etc take her mf up to ~ the 350 mark. She's rolled a rare diadem thirteen times now, has 300+ pgems stashed, picked up a gul,mal and um out of the chests but still has to find a suitable eth polearm saving her 3 socketing quests for something special. Along with unique archon staff, treks , a 20 lifer and a 20def/7mf sc she has also found two +4 rare orbs with 20fcr sadly both thunderstorm and this:-

I don't play D2 HC but I do play D3 HC and I may or may not have had similar experiences myself

I had a big break from playing due to busy work and then a nice vacation without computer (or internet access for large stretches), and then of course busy work upon returning. I wasn't able to get any play time from last week of September until this past weekend, when I focused on Hiatus. I also have enjoyed catching up on this thread and some of the others.
Hiatus made it to level 94 on AT p8 runs. I wasn't satisfied with her AT map, so I rerolled every 10 or so runs until I found one that seemed efficient for experience. There are many others on the forums who have studied this carefully (many thanks!), so I tried to follow the basic concept of high boss back density relative to amount of teleporting around the map between packs.
In looking for maps, Hiatus finally found a Shako. This map ended up being the winner, despite appearances. As this screen shot of a second Set Vortex Shield shows, from the entrance, two teleports lead into a big room and then one teleport to a junction where the left turn leads to short hallway to sparkly chest. That segment alone had a minimum of 3 boss packs and up to 6, with 5 or 6 the most common and only 3 very rare. Ignoring the rest of the map led to very quick and safe runs with a pretty high boss pack density. The XP gains were pretty good and Hiatus made what felt like steady progress to 94, with no deaths or NDEs.
Along the way she finally got a 4os Monarch. I haven't bothered to look back through earlier posts, but I am pretty sure this was at least the 6th roll with the cube recipe, not to mention a number of grey Monarchs that dropped with the wrong number of sockets. But no complaints now that she finally has Spirit, which sped the last third of the level considerably and will make the transition to CS possible for the next level. Additional (notable) finds were a Cold Skiller (the first) and a Martial Arts skiller, and a Reaper's Toll.
I hope to spend some time this weekend running Baal with Mercy, who is about 1/7th of the way to 97. Table update is below.

Despite that, I had a fairly bad day at work on Friday and I decided to cheer myself up with some D2 afterwards. So I ran more LK, after picking up more random equipment, I decided to step down to /p5 for the increased Lo rune drop rate from chests. At the point, I set aside two hours to run, figuring I could get around 350-ish runs in before getting too mindless. Well, in a couple minutes, my beloved Lo rune dropped.
But that was not before getting another of these cuties:
Now I just need to find a handful of ethereal unique throwers. Unfortunately, gg ethereal rares aren't all that good for PVM, because even with rep q, they replenish far too slowly.
But if I stumble up some ~400+ED or ~250-300ED + fools, especially with rep q, you won't see me arguing
Now, after finding that Lo, my next quest was to find a suitable armor to house it in, along with El, Sol, and Dol runes... One my first non-eth elite armor, I managed to roll my four sockets, which kinda makes up for all the failed attempts at rolling sockets into ethereal elite polearms... :|
But with my newly rolled armor, I made this!
Now I mentioned rolling sockets into eth elite poles, I had several fails (which I tossed) and a couple like the following thatI wish I could roll sockets into...
I wasn't not all too picky either, I was looking for 3-5 sockets rolled, just so I could upgrade my merc from the garbage he was using since nightmare mephisto...
Finally found an eth ogre axe, which the cube spat out with 3os, and I decided to make this:
Honestly I don't know what my merc will end up being... I have some options in mind:
The most straightforward would be act 2 might with reaper's toll. Don't know what would be better to outfit it with: guillame's or andy's, fortitude or treachery...
Alternatively, i could go for rogue wielding faith. She would likely use a deli helm for the crowd control. Not sure about the armor. Not eve sure about the base for the faith. If I equip her with a fort, a great bow would be two frames faster than hydra or cru as well as one frame faster than shadow, albeit at a lower average damage than the others, and a shadow bow would be one frame faster than the hydra or cru, again with the lower average damage. If I give a treachery, the great bow would be 2 frames faster than all of crusader, hydra, and shadow bows.... Can't decide which is best.
Heck, maybe the the deli helm isn't even necessary when I use her. Either for not needing CC because of the high damage output or because a one-point wonder grim ward does more than enough to keep the baddies off--I use it sparingly, because a stock melee merc can tank so much face damage as is. If I opt out of deli on a rouge, that opens doors to guill's and andy's alike.
So... suffice to say I have my options open.
For now, it's a might merc with crescent moon. Static definitely provides some solid AOE for the time being. Even with the 33% piercing from razortail enabling me to hit multiple enemies per throw, I can always appreciate a horde of enemies succumbing to the power of static field.
.....So..... yeah... good things
Oh, and one last thing, why is it the game wants to give you the most useless stuff when all you want from LK is a perfect emerald?? For real game, I don't need this garbage when I'm trying to upgrade my scalpers....

Now, after finding that Lo, my next quest was to find a suitable armor to house it in, along with El, Sol, and Dol runes... One my first non-eth elite armor, I managed to roll my four sockets, which kinda makes up for all the failed attempts at rolling sockets into ethereal elite polearms... :|

Honestly I don't know what my merc will end up being... I have some options in mind:
The most straightforward would be act 2 might with reaper's toll. Don't know what would be better to outfit it with: guillame's or andy's, fortitude or treachery...
Alternatively, i could go for rogue wielding faith. She would likely use a deli helm for the crowd control. Not sure about the armor. Not eve sure about the base for the faith. logo Rolex HC Barb 21 Yes 0 0 0 1Jean, for my gunslinger, I ran countess to get 3 Rals, sacrifice a couple of points to explosive arrow and you have a good way to deal damage (since the ral damage is add to explosion damage). I ran this way to 30 when I switched to lightning side of the slinger. Now at level 50 I just made edge and it is a decent bow - though doesn't compare to fury/charged strike.
3 rals of course gives you an ort and ort eth (zephyr) in a reflex bow does quite nicely too with the extra run speed very good for running weapon racks and bosses.
Agree, I had Zephyr as a switch, for the run speed. But when you take on big groups the explosion damage was nice to speed things along.

So, I was back home for about a week, lots of people to see and things to do, so I was limited with D2 time, I usually wake up a bit earlier than everyone else, so what else should I do other than D2? I didn't have a mouse with me and it's really annoying to run LK with a trackpad (especially on Macbook), so I went with Eldritch runs.
An hour here, half an hour there, 15 minutes there. I tried to rack up some /p8 Eldritch runs. On Friday morning, I actually got a level up to 92, so from now on, I think I can't really effectively gain experience elsewhere than CS (or other A85 areas, but CS is my choice for this character). Drops were absolutely horrible, only one worth mentioning is Nature's Peace, which might come handy in case I decide to try and level up doing Nihlathak runs at lvl98, but that's still quite far away.
Now, back home and I have a mouse to use. Straight to LK, having a good week and a half off from there really did good for me as I didn't feel so bored immediately. And, in half an hour or so, I got this one (also in IFT):
I was pretty excited to see that! I have like 2.0-2.1k LK runs under my belt before that previous Sur, so it was a really great surprise. And, now I am again back at my original aim of 1 Vex+ per week. Aura's rune count for Vex+ at the moment is Sur x2 and Lo x2. "Only" 2 Ber runes away...
I am keeping my 2 Lo runes as absolutely the last resorts for Enigma, if I am sitting at something like 1 Ber and 3 Surs for like 2.5k LK runs, I'll probably give in and cube those Lo runes, but I really, really hope that is not going to be the case. I want to use those Lo runes for Fortitude and Grief for other characters.While we're at it, I might not make an e-bugged Fortitude for my Merc. He already gets quite a good boost of ED from my Concentration Aura, so I might look into using Duress or some other armor instead. Fortitude has pretty great other mods too, so we'll see.

Weekend edition of Aura's progress:
I won't even bother updating the tables. Not that I have not gained XP, but I've equally efficiently lost it due to deaths in River of Flame. But let's recap what I've managed to done.
LK running. Going as expected, looking at another 2k-ish dry spell without great runes. On Saturday morning, I got my first Gul rune, I think it was the first non-HF Gul I've found so it was pretty great.
I was excited, I was looking at my runes that I could now cube up to Vex and make Hoto. Brilliant, but I'll keep running for a while in case I get a Vex rune, back to LK, load up my char and press N. Nightmare. Damn, my great LK map was now gone. So, I decided that I'd take a break from LK and try my luck with River of Flame and their superchests. On my way of rolling maps, I found couple of pretty decent Hephasto maps, where his throne was literally right next to the Waypoint, so I did some Hephasto runs, in hopes of him dropping a Jah, but no luck. My Blizzsorc will be pretty happy this find though:
Also picked up an Um rune (didn't bother to upload the screenshot) and Set Buckler (grailer) while running Hephasto, but it was time to find that RoF superchest map. Finally managed to find one and started running p7 and I got this one:
A second Gul within 24 hours from the last one! Now I was seriously considering to cube those Guls to Vex and make a Hoto, but I decided not to yet, still because of if I could find a Vex rune. I checked the forums for the RoF patterns thread to realize, that only p5 has had a confirmed Jah dropped, so I changed to p5, which was a blessing since I was dying quite often when playing p7. /p5, got me half-way Enigma:
That's from a random monster, not even a minion I think. That gets me with 3x Sur and 2x Lo with this character, two Surs from superchests, others from random places. I am starting to think I need to focus on the other things in the runs and just pop the superchests as a secondary motive
I was still dying, so I made the call, Hoto time it is. Not that I really need those Gul runes as they are for anything, so best to improve Aura as soon as possible. I also decided that every Gul/Vex would go towards getting a 40 all res Hoto from now on, so I am prepared to begin so rerolling just in case. Well what do you know, no need to do that at all:
That's my second Hoto since coming back, I'm glad I made that first one with my light sorc as it was 31 all res, so I took the bad roll out and now I have a perfect one. Hoto 40 all res and my 35fcr Spirit in 42 all res Sacred Rondache are pretty much the core of this character, just need that elusive armor to be made now.
Other than the above finds, I've found quite a selection of different skiller charms, but these two were the only ones with a useful other mod (I have some gold find ones which can be useful, but not too desirable):

That's from a random monster, not even a minion I think. That gets me with 3x Sur and 2x Lo with this character, two Surs from superchests, others from random places. I am starting to think I need to focus on the other things in the runs and just pop the superchests as a secondary motive
I was still dying, so I made the call, Hoto time it is. Not that I really need those Gul runes as they are for anything, so best to improve Aura as soon as possible. I also decided that every Gul/Vex would go towards getting a 40 all res Hoto from now on, so I am prepared to begin so rerolling just in case. Well what do you know, no need to do that at all:

Hoto 40 all res and my 35fcr Spirit in 42 all res Sacred Rondache are pretty much the core of this character, just need that elusive armor to be made now.
Other than the above finds, I've found quite a selection of different skiller charms, but these two were the only ones with a useful other mod (I have some gold find ones which can be useful, but not too desirable):

I think there is a way to start up Diablo using key presses instead of using the mouse. This is the best way to prevent losing what could be a great LK map, or any other map for that matter.

There is, H for Hell, N for Nightmare and I think it's something like R for Normal. But that's what I did, accidentally pressed N instead of H. I guess I could have kill the software process and reopen it then, but I don't mind too much. It's not that difficult to get a new LK map and luckily, the RoF map has proved to be quite fruitful
