Re: The Questions Thread

However, I DID have a bow that was not Ilvl 99 yet had 67 Slvl 10 Magic Arrow charges. I'm 100% positive it was not Ilvl 99, but lower, and also had Slvl 10 Magic Arrows. I think I might have thrashed that bow though. =\

It was generated using a script, and was supposed to be accurate for 1.10. Guess there always has to be one exception. I might look into it sometime.

Re: The Questions Thread

I've never heard of such a thing, and today is the first time I've noticed it.

Socketing a BOW with an inherent +Max Damage modifier with a jewel with +Max Damage causes a display bug.

For example:
You have a rare bow with +15 Max Damage.

Socketing it with a jewel with +10 Max Damage results in the bow displaying +10 Max Damage, rather than +25 Max Damage.

However, if you calculate the damage, you'll realize it is still +25 Max Damage, not +10.

Is this:

1) something old?
2) something to do with my multiple patchings?

Re: The Questions Thread

Where's the best place to shop for magical Vampire Bone gloves (for crafting Blood gloves), or is there a best place?

Re: The Questions Thread

Thanks for the info Antonio. I think if I pop enough chests in LK, I'll run across a bunch.

You may not be able to shop for Vampirebone Gloves, but you can gamble for them. I've crafted ~500 blood gloves or so, and most of the base item gloves were gambled from Hell Anya.

Re: The Questions Thread

From my experience, I belive it is 1 second per Meteor slvl, so it can last a while if you boost it up high.

That's too long...it starts with 1.2 sec on lvl 1 and is increased by approx. 0.6 sec per additional lvl (differs between 0.5 and 0.7 per level - but 0.6 should suffice as a rule of thumb). Here's the exact times according to the German skill calculator.

Code:
lvl duration (sec)
 1 1.2
 2 1.8
 3 2.4
 4 3.0
 5 3.6
 6 4.2
 7 4.8
 8 5.4
 9 6.0
10 6.6
11 7.2
12 7.8

21 13.2
22 13.8
23 14.4
24 14.9
25 15.5
26 16.2

Re: The Questions Thread

Feel a leetle newbish to ask this question here, but I've just spent another half hour reinstalling and being puzzled, so here it goes:

What am I doing wrong with my rwm install? Have it installed alongside the RRM, which works fine. Folder tree looks like this:

c:\program files\diablo ii\runewords\(data/bnetlog.txt);
data(global/local);
global\excel\runes.txt
local\lng\eng\(expansionstring.tbl/patchstring.tbl)

Shortcut is setup like this:
target: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -text
start in: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\runewords"

Someone please lift the veil :)

Re: The Questions Thread

Nepeta, I'd suggest trying -txt instead of -text.

Edit: I was going to ask something about Vista+ATMA but I think I just got it. Edit2: Yes, got it.

To be exact, it's 30 frames (1.2 second) at Slvl 1, and gains 15 frames (0.6 second) per Slvl after that.

omgwtfbbqpwned: I remember seeing that before. It's a display bug, yes.

Re: The Questions Thread

I got a question: where can I get the 1.07 patch files? There appears to be no link in the 1.07 guide and I can't find them on Google...

1.07 is the unpatched isntallation of LoD. There is not need to find any update files for it.

Re: The Questions Thread

I heard somewhere that 1.11 characters are backwards compatible with 1.10 beta, but I have both the versions of my comp and my 1.11 characters aren't showing up. What's up?

Re: The Questions Thread

AFAIK, no versions are backwards compatible. Once you upgrade them, they're that version or up.
I can't see why 1.10beta would differ from any other versions in this case.
