The howling: A forum werewolf game.

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

So Hey looks like the first victim of the werewolves, and Orphan has the looks of a suicide, SK, or vig. I'm going to go back and see what hey was up to on day 1.

Making up stories?

TC, why do you suspect one of them was the a hitman? All I can see from the description is a mangled corpse (werewolf victim) and a dead body not in his own cabin, but didn't die violently. can you elaborate?

Trying to make sense of the NK?

I'm actually wondering why Zhao or ankeli weren't targeted for a kill. Would be EXTREMELY perfect to NK one or the other as a frame job considering that the two have been going back and forth since last game.

Umm?

Dammit Ankeli, I don't want to do this, but you are just being a poor player at this point. Why do you always do this to yourself? Swapping votes like a mad man, being oblivious to facts, and claiming a treestump on day 1?

tell me why I shouldn't vote you.

Pointing fingers?

I say ignore ankeli today, and if he's alive tomorrow we can worry about lynching him. He's obviously anti-town but may or may not be the VI, which we will be better able to ascertain tomorrow. Who else is looking fishy among us?

Pointing fingers some more?

well, I said I wasn't going to vote ankeli today at least (because I believe the danger of him being the VI outweighs everything else), and Moosehead seems like the least active of those that have contributed. guess He's my vote unless he can convince me otherwise and point out a better target.

Vote: Moosehead

Did you even read the thread Moosehead was quite active and there many people less active!

I think that perhaps you are guilty of all the things you acuse me of- why does that not make yourself suspisious?

Are you tring to get a lynch on me as I mentioned a few names that you think will be easy to persuade to train me- another Townie lynch for your wolf team?

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

I've backed off of Ankeli for several reasons. One, I did not believe he was the VI after moosehead's role was revealed. Two, His roleclaim fits his postings almost exactly spot on. He was not nearly as manic on day 0 as he was on day 1, when he really dialed it up a notch. Now, he's on day 2, and is severely subdued. He may still be an odd VI, but as long as we don't lynch him on odd days he's powerless. The only thing he can hope to do is survive the end of the game.

ITY, You are the best lynch vote I can think of right now, and not because of any grudges you think I might harbor towards you. I don't do that. In my mind, you simply are the most suspicious. retaliating against me and trying to point the finger of suspicion at me only makes you look more like a werewolf.

He openly admits to have been the odd jester and now he's magically a townie? But I do have to agree that as long as he isn't lynched on an odd day he is pretty much powerless.

I did not retaliate I pointed out the floor in your logic - Your behavour has been very similar to my own so if my actions cry out suspision then so should yours. If I was wolf then I wouldn't have been nearly as active- refer to the previous game where I survived as a mafia member until the last day 1v1 (damn double vote role!)

I think the wolves are hiding in the shadows and laughing at the squabling townies.

We can agree to our differences and get on with hunting out the wolves or you can carry on with this foolish vote and hope no one notices my townie read when lynched and remembers who started the lynch!

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

Krazy, I'd like to hear more from you. I'm trying to figure out if you were drunk in real life the last time you posted, or if it is an imposed posting style that you have to comply with.

Hypothesis: The werewolves have a recruiter. When this werewolf attacks, it causes the victim to post in an unnatural style for one day. When nightfall comes, that person turns into a werewolf.

I have no idea if the above is accurate or not, but it sounds like something the game moderators would incorporate.

Gorny, what are your thoughts today?

If your idea is correct, I aimed explicitly by somebody did not have the idea. Some this competition's people have similarly to the previous style which a point posts differently. I'm Seeks feeds back us from everybody's to be possible to obtain the wolf hopefully to slander.

I think if they can use this post restriction ability daily as it seems then It may be overpowered to also recruit the victim- unless there is only a percentage chance of success(I can never spell that word!)- This is assuming Krazey has this restriction and is not just posting Geordie!

Are we even sure it's the wolves doing it? TC on day 1 said he thought it was a third party role.

@ TC why did you think the reverse talk was inflicted on you by a third party?

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

Hmm. If we assume the role is third party and is incorporated into the story, than perhaps it's a townie role. We know that, according to the storyline, the Colony members have been trying to keep the whole Le Loup thing unknown to the outside world so they don't scare anybody off. Maybe atownie night role meant to accomplish this?

While it's entertaining, I don't know how effective it truly is. People impacted by it seem to be able to communicate, albeit with a bit more effort required by them and their readers.

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

I think ITY is telling us a grand story and attempting to send us on a wild wolf chase. Seems a bit too defensive when pressed for details or asked questions in regards to his postings.

I'm not telling any story- I've got Asrrin trying to make a story from my actions which in all honesty are very similar to his own.

What are you suggesting? That I shoudn't defend myself? That I should just sit back and let the town lose another member?

I belive its a 3rd party role that did this mainly because, in real life games, i have enountered such a role, as previously mentioned, a silancer type role. We also seen it in Ankelis game and in mine. It doesnt necesarily have to be pro or anti town, it could be, but it could also be a neutral role.
Also, keep in mind there were two NKs last night. If the wolves do indeed have a chance of turning their silanced victims into wolves themselves, it means they couldn`t have killed either Hey nor Orphan on the first night. In this case, the only logical way would have been if either of them was a suicidal type role.
Now lets consider the other situation, on the first night, either the wolves got Hey and someone else got Orphan, tho its not really common for a SK/vigi role to kill on night one, or the wolves got Hey and Orphan died do to Hey having the suicide ability(or it could be the other way arround).
Out of these theories, im going to go with the one that wolves dont turn the people who have been silanced, instead, some other role is doing this,

If your idea is correct, I aimed explicitly by somebody did not have the idea. Some this competition's people have similarly to the previous style which a point posts differently. I'm Seeks feeds back us from everybody's to be possible to obtain the wolf hopefully to slander.

Can someone please translate all of this? My head hurts.
Also id like to mention i`ve never liked situations when someone does not speak proper, or atleast close to proper english. No offence intended Ivan, im sure something happened to you last night similar to what happened to me.

You're going to trust him in his claim, just like that eh? No cross-examination, conjectures, hearsay or any other forums of info gathering, you just instantly believe his claim. May I asked based on what?

Yes, he didn't properly claim the treestump because he's a false claimer.

Theres proof out there already. As mentioned, he was pretty quiet on day 0, got very active on day 1. He clearly claimed treestump wrong, making us lynching him, and now he cooled down admiting his role. As long as we dont lynch him on odd days, he should be safe and with no chance of winning i dont see why he cant be of help to us. If he screws up, we just lynch him on an even day and get it over with.

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

Also, i would again like to apologise for my lack of activity, RL is a tad busy at the moment.

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

Was ivan obtained, and was falls nearly for the word. Cared most I am the Asrrin matter withdraw from Ankeli, because the unprincipled person comes in three what kind of 1 these is bad

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

I'm trying to unscramble Krazey's words right now. His shortest last quote seems to be the easiest to discern, but there may be extra words thrown in, I'm not sure.

All I can say about krazey is that sorry about his post restriction, he feels useless about it. in his previous post he says something about caring about the fact I withdrew my suspicion of Ankeli.

Krazey, all I can say is that ankeli is no longer a threat to us. Either he is the even VI and we lynch him on an odd day sometime down the road, or he is a townie like he claims. either way he is not going to have an anti-town win. so there are bigger fish to fry, in my opinion.

Gorny, why the single vote? do you have anything else to add to the ITY lynch?

No, nothing to add in addition to watching him go back and forth over the last few posts up to post #249, and what I already posted about him earlier in post #249, and his reaction and posts after that....

I'll decide again beofre the day's end as to if I should stick to that or not.

Zhao, this above is what I tried to get through to you. Unless you believe that I (hah, me?) am a werewolf mastermind and cooked up the whole jester soup to lie in, hiding.

ITY, Who would you point out as the most likely werewolf in your opinion?

Re: The howling: A forum werewolf game.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to point fingers - isn't that why I am so suspisious? Apparently!

My two possible suspects are Zhao who still seems rather quite compared to previous games. I don't know how it works in Canada, but isn't jury duty a Monday to Friday thing? I've never seen him play as anti-town, but the change in play style is a worry.

Or Asrrin, not because of his vote on me, but how early in the day he placed it - it has stiffled discussion and most of it revolves around me.

I don't mind taking one for the team.

When my lynch shows me pro-town I think you should go back and look more closely at him!
