Fetish/Flayer/Soul Killer Shamen (each with their little band of infantry and artillery support) were the main enemies in the jungle. They were everywhere! In Spider Forest, Great Marsh, Flayer Jungle (
nothing but them there, save for one Champ pack of vultures!) and both the FJ dungeons were packed with them. A bit boring in the long run, but I don´t complain since we take them down quickly. Players who think blowdarters are annoying haven´t used a good rogue...
Finished the session by finding the Lower Kurast waypoint without killing anything there. I had found so much valuable crap so I couldn´t gamble more circlets without running the risk of not being able to keep them all.
I realized that absolutley no fire resistance is a bad idea in the second half of the act, against Meteors and Hydras. I muled off the valuable crap and went gambling. I mostly looked for fire resist items. VERY good results:
Havoc Blazer
Boots
Resist Fire 26
Resist Poison 21
10% Faster Hit Recovery
+18% MF
Half Freeze Duration
Doom Clasp
Belt
10% chance to cast lvl 3 Nova when struck
+1 Strength
Resist Cold 8
Resist Fire 15
Resist Poison 9
+35 Life
You know I am serious about survival when I bring down the MF by 5 units (I had some 22/23 Coral Boots of Fortune before).
Now I have two Circlets of Luck for us. I think I will stop gambling circlets for a long while now (until Life Everlasting and such can spawn on them) and concentrate on getting some good gloves and hopefully even better boots.
I often have good item luck in Swampy Pit level 3. This time I found an Ith and some topazes. That rune and another one that I cubed from 3x Nef + 2x Eth got used in a 3-socketed Composite Bow. That´s Isolde´s new bow. Her listed damage is now 21-69. I hope to add a third Ith soon.
Another good find today was a rare Short Spear with both PMH and Knockback. Great utility gear that Mark happily put in his weapon switch slot.
It would have been end-game material if it had been a faster weapon type.

@ jiansonz : I like the concept where YOU assisting Isolde and not the other way round very funny
Such is the fate of a Curse B*tch! Isolde is the killer, I am just helping her out.
Mark is the 1.10 version of Mike, my 1.09 mojomancer. Once he got his merc, I banned the use of Attack and Throw, so all kills were done by that incarantion of Isolde. Mark will fight, but his damage output will always be much lower than Isolde´s except against the biggest bosses (where Crushing Blow rules).

Not the dreaded 3-socket Great Helm/Mask! At least get her a crown!
You know, that Static Circlet will save her if it gets 2 sockets! I can live with a sacrifice of 24% MF through NM, but probably not 48%...
Mark, on the other hand, is very unlikely to escape the Horns. Both our armors have more than 40% MF and the next step up will be a 4-socketed armor with PTopazes. That means Mark´s headgear is the next 'MF upgrade' item. By the time he reaches level 39 (when Artisan´s Great Helms can be bought from Larzuk) I should have 2 perfect topazes. That will beat the 33% circlet he has now.
d2data.net says that the monster levels in the areas I am playing in by then are way below 40, so a 3s Crown can´t drop there. Sorry, Mark!
