Haha I know, I realised some time later. Please don't tell my Welsh mother...
Woah.. what happens here?
From 3,569 to 0 health in 3 or 4 frames with 75 lightning resistance.
Do stacked War Cry missiles trigger a ton of invisible bolts or something?
Well the Basin wiki is down (again) so I can't confirm it, but iirc a bolt's damage is [mlvl/2]*2-1.
Rocky Waste its area level is 75, so then a bolt would deal [75/2]*2-1=73. No clue if these bolts are increased by the P#, but if they are, then it should be 125%, so 91.25 per bolt. Then after 75 lightning resistance it would be ~22.8125 per bolt.
And you took 1,738 damage in a single frame.
Where did all that damage come from?
War Cry is a nova-like skill after all and it shoots out a massive amount of missiles, so I figured maybe all those dozens of War Cry missiles that "hit" the Scarab all triggered a bolt.

This is the first deeds I've had where I feel it is primarily just bad luck, rather than me doing something stupid. I could've reacted a bit faster, but mostly the merc death/charge decision was badly/perfectly timed

Nooo! Poor Kitteh characters (=kittens?).
About the scarabs: Since war cry is so powerful at preventing enemies striking at you and you can taunt ranged attackers toward you, doesn't it make sense to absolutely overdo MDR and lightning absorbing gear? I had a somewhat similar experience with my leap barbarian where lightning enchanted enemies were the most dangerous for the northlander duo (each leap triggering new bolts). They would not have made it safely without Blackhorns Face I believe.
