My sorcy bit le dust last night. I figured I'ld get 10 minutes of play in last night before 24 came on and ... She died on the way down to beat the countess. I don't remember the last time I lost a hc character so young. Usually it's in late nightmare/early hell. It's embarassing :rolleyes: Thanks for the tourny, Vang :thumbsup:

Ok I'll go with spear for the weapon and keep all the skills. Can I get a reroll on the Fanged Helm though, never liked the way they look.

are you sure you want to reroll the fanged helm and not your weapon?

Because that would be Pike...*cough*

if you still want your Fanged Helm rerolled, I can do that, though:grin:

EDIT: Thinking again about the Pike: You'd have to get through entire Act I with your starting axe and merc...then you should be able to gamble one, IIRC. So...hard decision, I guess?

Hmmm. I forgot about rolling the spear. Pike would be very sllllloooooowww. Ok keep the Fanged Helm and reroll the Pike!

@Vang, sorry i'm not that much of a trooper.

Just a small update: Alkyone killed Andariel without too much problems and went immediately to Act II without completing the imbue quest yet. I'll try to find some exceptional gear to imbue in Acts IV+V (If I'll get so far...Seems like death itself chose to take part in that tournament...). Fade was for sure a life safer in some situations (mainly when I was stuck with Beetles) and I get to learn how to use Claws of Thunder. If I only had a better weapon, progress wouldn't take so long on p8. But with about 50-100 damage monsters can take quite a few hits.

Plans: Max Claws of Thunder, then put some points in Shadow Master, then probably max Dragon Tail or Shadow Master and then remaining points into Fade for the %Damage Reduction.
Hope to get to clear all 7 tombs tomorrow. I wouldn't mind a Rockfleece dropping :grin:

btw, I actually found the randomising a character is almost more fun than playing...anyone else noticed or is it just me???
 
I just returned from vacation and realize I've been missing this. This tournament was fun the first time, so I'll give it another go.

I'll take an Amazon, weapon = Bow, 3 Bow skills and 2 Passive & Magic skills. I'll need to get lucky to get a viable Bowazon. Could someone roll me?

Was going to write it up after Act4..but getting tired and can't complete the act.

Act2 and 3 went relatively quick with full clears(well close to it) and I started some good luck finds.

Found 4 uniques and 1 set item out of:
Urns(Nagelring/16% and NokozanRelic) Lost City
Rat pile or something in Kurast Sewers(Shadowfang)
Chest(Sigon's Gloves) Durance of Hate 2
Chest(Gleamscythe) Durance of Hate 2

So I ended up having about 75%MF and about 125% Gold find, capping out my gold at level 30, bought a splint mail and it was a nice rare one, and gambled until I got a good helm with dual resist(Cold/Lightning 20%+ each) My weapon was a Deadly Scepter of Slaughter(+14max) I bought on arrival into act2 after shopping a bit as well as my boneshield of deflecting so I have been able to keep 75% block.

Duriel dropped nothing of note, while Mephisto dropped Cathan's Chest/Staff and Steelgoad, which with the flee and Deadly strike and minor resist should be better than the pike I had him using. So onto Act4 and beyond.

@erics, sorry about the death man, think we both knew it was going to be a little rough starting, didn't think it would be that much though.
 
I think I might have a go at this.

Could someone roll me a barbarian, please? Three warcries and one each of the other two; weapon as per mastery if applicable.

Can someone roll me an amazon with 3-2 in bows and passives? My weapon choice will be bows.
