Why not adding skill books like we had on D1 with spells? Books would have lvl requirement to read, similar as skill placement and they would be more or less difficult to find depending on skill lvl. Each player could only read a certain skill book one time (every non class skills obtained by reading a book would be at lvl 1 permanently).
Maybe some skill books would be very powerfull even at lvl 1, comes to mind fanacticism book, berserk book, cold or fire mastery book and so on... but at the same time it would create a huge character/class/skill choices.

And back to regular items, I would like to see more staves suitable for melee fight... only one I know is Ribcracker!

I think it would be interesting to make a wand that was rare, but not really for necro's possibly for Paladins or Druids. They both tend to be almost casters, as opposed to Sorceresses and Necros who are casters. And I think it would be fun. Maybe Fire Mastery to make a PyroZealot possible. Maybe the fire could help Druids out too? Heck maybe it would even make Fire Trappers useful.

Only usefull for killing big bosses... I think it doesn't make the damage compensation for the rest of crap things. Allways better fast weapons with less damage or with godly mods (crushing blow).

ya, the -ias is evil, you would be hitting as fast as molasses. NOW. if u were to drop that mod (or atleast make it reasonable :))and make it only usable with bash...add some crushing....THATS an airplane hitting a fallen shaman. monsters will definitely run like hell just seeing the thing ^^. all it needs now is to be like 5x bigger than normal when seen on your character haha.

this would definitely be the coolest item ever to use, just for the fact that even if it is slow...when you hit its like 1 hit kills haha...baal might take like 3 ;).

lol i love this thing. 220 str req, 115 dex req, 13-35 physical. this baby is pure elemental. its practically a suicide weapon. with such low physical damage, you are looking at virtually no hp from leech. but it will slaughter enemies ^^.
i really want it to be used as an extremely fast zeal weapon (mainly by anything not a paladin) so it can make a big mess everywhere, and so you might actually survive doing 1000 damage with the damn thing :).

act 3 guys can only use swords...now if it was a sword that would be cool :D. better yet, a mercenary set would be pretty cool lol.
i like the eldritch orb. thats definitely something i would put on a sorc of my own to use. fireclaws wearbear sorc with enchant...mwaahaha.
i thought the rings were pretty good too. great mods, but when you conciter what you dont get to use in their place it works itself out.
id say you did a good job of keeping in bounds of decently powered items...specially that spear. great great mods, but how many zons are bold enough to drop their block for it? great sacrifice.

Oh wow, man!. I just, like, realized how unbalanced this would be. I suppose the following mod(s) should be added:

-200% AR when equipped
-20 Strength
-20 Dexterity
-20 Energy

I was thinking: we've seen some pretty good set ideas, but these come from the creation of new set items.

How about a Rune-Set comprised of nothing but rune-word items?

Helm
Armor
Weapon
(opt) Shield (or Second weapon)

A Rune-Set would activate only upon completion (no partials).

A typical Rune-Set bonus would be something like +2 all skills, plus 50% resist all, +clvl% additional gold, +clvl% MF. Something along those lines, maybe fewer bonuses (but certainly not more!)

Obviously only certain rune items bundled together could make Rune-Sets.
