How to fade as a summon necro?

I have made the treachery runeword for the quick 60 resists(which is very fast to fade on other characters) but I have found a problem as a summoning necro fading...you havel like 40 minions that all aim to kill the monsters before I fade from the monster hits

If I fade before summoning, then it runs out about as soon as I get my army going

Where are good places to fade? Like scenery that quickly damages you like fires, etc (or anything else?)

I thought about A4 River of Flame near WP there are fires and act 5 as soon as you exit harrogath there are fires. There are also fires at countess tower random spawn and andy/tristram but they are too far and rng. Are there any other faster/better places?

Well Summoners do tend to fade into the background anyway...

I've always used the fire in A4 for procing fade. Was about the quickest way to get it before doing uber tristram runs on bnet. Once you have your army, resistances shouldn't be too much of a problem, no? If they are, consider making Smoke (50 res) or Sanctuary (70 res) to bring up the low end. You could also cheap out and put a few diamonds in a shield

Summoners can do well with:

Bone (Necromancer)
3 Socket Body Armor
Sol + Um + Um

15% Chance To Cast level 10 Bone Armor When Struck
15% Chance To Cast level 10 Bone Spear On Striking
+2 To Necromancer Skill Levels
+100-150 To Mana (varies)
All Resistances +30
Damage Reduced By 7

Duress... or duriel's shell both cheap and both in my humble opinion better suited for a necro.

Gloom is pretty good. Better resists, but worse FHR than Duress. @BKC I've always seen Duress as a melee armour, not sure why you recommended it for a summoner...?

I don't think that Gloom is better than Duriel's because of CBF, except there's a Cham rune available, and you have another socket for Duriel's as well. Also, Gloom's ctc dim vision will spoil the selected curse of the necro more often than you might feel comfortable with. At level 3, it doesn't have such a big area of effect, however.

If resources are scarce, would even prefer Smoke. It has the same amount of res, more FHR and its cheap runes make it more attractive to low armors. You can also use the saved Um rune for the helm then... or the shield, although I would use a cheap pdiamond there.

i would prefer duriels shell (the golden armour) over both runewords too dont worry. However Smoke is a good option if your wealth is not that high yet.
