GoMule for D2 Resurrected

There has been no need to do anything special after patch 2.5 IIRC. If the new GoMule opens your stashes and characters ok then it's ok.

I have never had any issues with GoMule UI so I can't really answer that part.

I have old files left in place from when I last migrated items. The migration back then was because blizz changed parts of some files/items forced a new GoMule to be created and thus had to do the manual thing. I'll give it a shot later on today. Have to get back to work. :(

What version of Java is needed for GoMule vD2R_2.7 on Windows? Also, is anyone running the vD2R_2.7 GoMule on a windows 10 system with an AMD GPU. I have the latest driver from AMD installed.

Also my migration steps from D2R GoMule v2.6 to v2.7:
* backup "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.6_D2R_Data" ==> "__backup of__GoMule_2.6_D2R_Data__2025-1-26"
* create "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.7_D2R_Data"
* extract the v2.7 zip file into ==> "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.7_D2R_Data"
* had to go into ""T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.6_D2R_Data\GoMule" and move the folder contents one directory up and delete the "GoMule" folder
* copy the projects folder from "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.6_D2R_Data" ==> "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.7_D2R_Data"
* backup the D2R GoMule v2.6 stashes folder "T:\D2_Game_Data\v1.06_D2R_Restart\D2R_2.6_ATMA_Data" ==> "T:\D2_Game_Data\v1.06_D2R_Restart\D2R_ATMA_Data_Backups\2025-1-26_D2R_2.6_ATMA_Data"
* copy "T:\D2_Game_Data\v1.06_D2R_Restart\D2R_2.6_ATMA_Data" ==> "T:\D2_Game_Data\v1.06_D2R_Restart\D2R_2.7_ATMA_Data"
* backup the "projects.properties" file in the projects folder to "__backup of_projects.properties_on_2025-1-26"
* edit the "projects.properties" file to change the paths from "...\D2R_2.6_ATMA_Data" ==> \D2R_2.7_ATMA_Data" (preserving the double back slashes in the path strings of course)

I created a new shortcut "D2R$_GoMule_2.7" with:
* Target = "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.7_D2R_Data\GoMule.jar"
* Start In = "T:\D2_Game_Data\GoMule_2.7_D2R_Data"

I opened multiple char files and the shared stash, which opened without errors initially but after opening many more char files and stashes, and doing and open/close several times on the same stashes the UI started to glitch again. I closed the app and open the items again and the glitching had stopped. I then closed all the open items in GoMule, exited GoMule, ran D2R, entered into 1 character, opened his inventory, accessed the stash, and exited the game. I was then able to open and interact with the shared stash and the character file in GoMule. All seems to be well.

Thank you m4ke, Silopen, and everyone else.. I'm not wondering if my installed version of Java is the problem as far as the glitching UI is concerned.

I'm using "jre-8u431-windows-x64.exe" as public jre. I have also jdk-23 installed for Java development but executables in the %PATH% are from the jre.

I think I'm running the 32-bit version of Java because my control panel applet says Java (32-bit). When I run the applet it and go to about it says:
Version 8 Update 371 (build 1.8.0_371-b11)

I just downloaded "jre-8u441-windows-x64.exe". I'm going run the install and uninstall the previous version of Java.

@Maxicek It depends on the type of Character. I noted last July that Assassins and Druids text dumps don't include the skills section. However, the skills section is still in the text dump for the other 5 classes.

Hey guys - Just wondering if anyone has a HC Shared Stash file from D2R v2.4 that I could have? Trying to transfer items from v2.4 to current version, would rather use shared stash if it works, rather than individual character inventory/stash.

Or alternatively, any way to backport a HC Shared Stash from current version back to v2.4?

@Excalibur i think that’s definitely the way to go, but it’s hard to remember! And I agree. I know a couple of the items I’ve had disappear were unid’d, but I’m pretty positive one of them was id’d and within stat requirements. No idea what’s happening there.
