Feels good to be back

Greetings!

The D2 bug bit me again after a few years of hiatus. I sort of lost motivation to return after I didn't have the energy to do another GoMule transfer and then lost the files. I had backups of the characters even though they clearly aren't as fresh as they could've been.

Bunch of stuff got left behind like runewords, runes. charms, cool rares and maybe most notably a Tyrael's which I would've love to slap on an all blue Ice Maiden which I've had in mind for a long time. Most of the characters and their main equipment were saved though so the situation isn't that dire.

I've actually restarted from scratch a couple of times but every time the enthusiasm was short lived. We'll see how long it lasts this time

I was wondering if I should reroll the barbarian as a throw barb. Then a cool (upgradable) drop from 1st Baal kill might've just sealed the deal:

That was a sick spiculum for sure! Remember that having a very high throwing mastery in D2R will replenish ethereal weapons! I use these on my throw barb together with eth lacerator and the damage is pretty insane!

Haha, it will always have a grip on me at least. Last November I bought a brand new high end pc. My wife was laughing when she realized that pretty much the only game I've played with it is the same game I've played all these years

To be clear I did bring back the characters. Those few fresh starts I had were short lived because I felt that the builds I'd like to play would require farming hours and hours which at this point in my life isn't possible. This time for some reason I felt motivated to restart with the characters I had left even though a major part of the item collection is lost.

D2... it'll always eventually find it's way back on my screen.
