Katana reached the first act-5 waypoint. -Twice.

She gained 2.5 levels, found nothing worth selling, and upgraded the merc from Partizan to Partizan which, despite Pierre Tombale's un-merc friendly mods, is quite an improvement.

I think that's quite enough for my half-hour stint of the evening.

If I keep this pace, it's NM Ancients Friday night. Scary.

And all of Normal, NM and Hell's characters have been using it to lighten our plight!

But take it easy, an easy-refund program, involving only one kidney, just 50% of your liver mass, your best corona, and an insignificant amount of your stam-cells will almost cover the deal.

I haven't given up on Sarah or 1.10 yet, as she battled her way through the Frozen River. Almost died to the stupid lizards and their stupid bone spears, and had some troubles with the gloams and their mana-draining lightning attacks, but at least those can be frozen. The harpies were almost more annoying, as they would amp damage curse my poor merc, and he was useless.

She's now doing Pindle runs for the easy XP and in the hope of finding some useful stuff (particularly as the early elite weapons are dropping at the moment). At least she feels safe there, courtesy of FA and her merc & valk. I'm aiming to be somewhere around level 70-72 before moving on to Nihlathak, but I'll probably just see where the XP starts drying out.

Well, after taking 2 exams in 2 days (Differential Equations and Numerical Methods for Differential Equations) and getting Brighid her Matriarch status all the way at players 8, I say I deserved my Vodka/Coke... :drink: :drink: That's better. Now for some serious slacking for the rest of the day.

Ah.. At last I got my summoner/hunter druid out of Act 2 and in a single session managed to land him in the spider forest. Today I managed to guide him to Mephisto, who bowed down to my lvl 4 grizzly. Next up is Izual. Come to think of it, my grizzly has a date with him in a few minutes.

I guess I'll have to resummon my bear a few times once I reach the red demon, but for now he is unstoppable.
 
Still don't have much D2 time at the moment. Should change a bit next week, even if I am supposed to start doing some studying.

Ah well, who cares - I'll have a Guinness. I'm sure it won't lessen my productivity any more! :uhhuh:
 
Argh, I'm going into D2 withdrawl. For some reason, since my last death in the catacombs on the way to Andy in Hell I haven't wanted to go back down there again. It's very frustrating, as I want to continue Marduk's journey, I just can't be bothered. Damn my lazy bones, damn them to hell ... Oh I'm too lazy for damning things.
<Walks over to the claw machine and pulls out nothing, as I'm too lazy to put my hand up to manipulate the controls>

Ha never thought that a summon druid would have such powerful minions. I'm still level 45 but the lvl 21 grizzly... He's a real monster with over 1K damage. I never would have thought I would have such a well balanced character at normal. The annoying imps took a while for my grizzly and the guy with a pointy stick to take care of so I'm behind schedule and only now got the WSK2 waypoint. Well at least my nature's terror will have something worth fighting with waiting at the bottom of the keep, Lister. I fear that the stun will work all too well on my grizzly(I had problems with the snow drifter types) and my lousy merc will have to fight for all his moneys worth. Baal on the other hand will have one effective attack for my grizzly, the cold blast. I've noticed that most knockback things don't effect my force of nature, but the cold will most certainly chill it for a while. After that...

Well I'll repeat the procedure until the experience/items run dry. :D

Darn all that rambling has parched my throat, must find something to soothe it.

I found a little D2 time last night, which is unusual for me, but it did cost me some sleep.

I spent a little time levelling up my 3 way tourney character - she's now level 70, and only a couple of levels away from moving down to take on Nihlathak.

I also got a bit further with my skillz tourney barb, and he's cleared the Den of Evil & reached level 7. Only 5 more levels until all his skills are available!

Hooray for being Friday! Definitely time for a drink or two, as I'm really looking forward to the weekend. :drink:

Thursday night, nothing to do... maybe I'll load up Helga, my puny little Bowazon. Or maybe I'll start a Druid. I've been meaning to make one o' them ever since 1.10 came out.

D2 related, Katana reached the NM Icy Cellars waypoint, so is reasonably on schedule for the Ancients tonight. Wondering if I should take them on players-1 (less HP) or on players 5 (MUCH sturdier shadow master)
Anyhow, I've cubed some 12 or so big purplies, maybe that helps. And if not.... Her deeds etc.
 
Updates:

Nihlathak's past Radament. Cailleach is still waiting to try Act 1 NM. Nihlathak had a devil of a time with Andy, and is now wishing he had his Might merc BEFORE that fight. Went through almost six rounds of skeletons this time, and about four Iron Golems. IG is quickly proving useless for anything outside Normal.

(On an interesting side-note: My sig other had his Necro, Patizeithes, face the whole game at P8...and went against Baal last night. With a highly-underskilled character. (Had his points spread out too far), and untwinked. Took him 'til a bit past sunrise, but he managed it. Using a lvl2 Bone Spirit, no less.)

Aside from that, been splitting time between D2 and Morrowind, now that I have a character past the first quest without a GREAT fear of dying. 3d graphics are starting to have an effect on me, but if I played it slow, I'm sure I could get through without too much trouble.

I haven't played D2 for a week. I am just recently back from Taiwan on business. I had a bunch of extra time and spent it playing D2. I played so much that my elbow and hand got sore from mousing so much. It seems I am a mad clicker and it takes its toll.


Morrowind is a great game. It is huge! And with the two expansions, I am not sure I'll ever finish!

Keep in mind it's all 1.09. Kid's play really..

I opted out on players-5, and re-cast SM on players 1.

Put down some big purplies. Activated. Much badness ensued. Merc suicided almost immediately. While running I noticed at least one stone skin elder.. Re-cast SM (Repeat ad-nausea) Running. More running. Switch to xbow. Hit *any* ancient. Re-cast SM. Run some more. Cursor on ancient: Hey, he's suffering! Re-cast. Run some circles, re-cast, engage venom, fire, fire, hey madawc is down!, re-cast, run, run, etc.

I dunno, It somehow just killed them to see my performance. Made it!

At the end I retrieved all of my big purplies, and passed the gate. Was never really threatened, no NDE's, all just peachy. Must have been a really lucky draw.

Mmmmm, Baal's entourage is next. I would not like to be killed by Lister or one of his cronies. At all....
