Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

very cool K_P

stormwolf as long as the char is fun to play its no need to worry.

still puching diablo to death is cool

lots of things to do for the next 7 days so my ytime her will surely be limited.

i make sure to take a break now and then and jump in.

and stormwolf there is no perfect char;) i can come close but never will i come to whole way.

all char builds have flaws in them you can only limit them but not remove them

L_W: It certainly looked funny, on my screen. Wish I'd had time to take a screenshot--that would have solidly ROCKED! She's not terribly fond of Act V anymore, especially because of the Imps. She's decided she'll do the Nihlathak quest, mostly because she'd kill for that split-second look on his face before his flesh strips itself from his bones as he floats down to hell. She's a little vindictive as to how he treated her back in town, can't you tell? ;) As for flaws--well, while some flaws make the character more playable, there are others that seem to just serve to annoy.

Wildjinn: *sends over a tall mug of the Shalakshmiyin Special*

Ask anyone who's had it, that'll keep you up for at least 24 hours. Enjoy. :D

As for everything else I was going to say...completely slipped my mind. Therefore, this is me, taking my morning glass of pomegranate juice and slipping off into a quiet corner.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

*takes a few deep breaths*

Barkeep, I'll settle for a tangerine-grapefruit juice, please.

Just got back from doing Foothill/Highland/Plateau runs. Originally, it was just Foothill runs (for XP), but as the XP began to wane, I'd extend my runs to the other areas. I've FINALLY worked up to the Lycander's Flank (Flamearrows, you ROCK!). Wish it was a bit stronger, but there's not much I can do about that. Traded in Boneflesh for Lionheart armor (which is partly why she's able to grab Lycander's right now--she's technically still a few STR points too low.). The Flank is doing wonderful damage, though, and I don't remember stopping until I had to mule, and found myself looking for the waypoint.

Figures that while I'm out and around, I'd do a little bit of MFing. Here's what I took home, in approximately six or seven trips:

Bloodletter
Sander's Riprap
Sander's Taboo
Sander's Superstition
Rixot's Keen
Manald Heal
Infernal Coil
Berserker's Hatchet
Serpent Lord
Sigon's Visor

Sure, it's not much, and it's all fairly low-level, but still...with the little MF I had, it's a miracle I found anything at all!

*listens to the crickets chirping outside*

*sighs* Oh, well. Another quiet night at the EMB, is it? Very well, then. Barkeep, I'll take another tangerine-grapefruit juice, then assume my regular position over in some back corner, hidden away from all the other good folk. :D

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

Well, I've been up for nearly 48 hours, so it's time to go to bed. There will be a great joint thread coming up for NSX dreamer and myself. You guys might enjoy it. :)

By the way, I HATE FE creatures. So many 1-hit deaths tonight. *sigh*. oh well. might as well just drink through it. :p orange juice, please, barkeep.

'nite, all.

Bumpity-bump-bump-bump...

Barkeep, I'll take a celebratory pomegranate juice, and buy a round for everyone here. Cytherene has made Matriarch! :D (More details in her thread)

However, as her battle for Matriarchy is not detailed, I shall do so here.

At the start of the game today, she had yet to rescue Anya. Rescued Anya, skipped Nihlathak, and headed straight for the Ancients. Got bit by FE Korlic, but that was my only death. Came close several other times, though--especially with some SSPhysImmuneLE bastard. Everything that wasn't a Gloam got pwned fairly easily, though, and even Baal was almost disappointing, if he didn't take so long to fall.

Well, I've babbled on enough between threads, so I think I'll sit back in a corner and enjoy my pomegranate juice.

TwoPaws,
Shalakshmiyin

I could really use a drink right now...though I think it's best if I'd settle for orange juice, even virtually...

Whatever's up there or down there controlling the lives and deaths of us all, or if there's even anything, that entity, call it god if you like, knows I sure as hell don't need to start drinking right now

I could uh, barely get in being under the age of 18 slightly but I'll take a coke on ice, long night a head of me. And my first visit to the bar, hope I don't become depenedt on it :drink:

Travis

*pours a tall orange juice for Borlag (it's better for you than you know. ;) ), a Coke for Darkist Reign (want some pizza or chips with that? How 'bout both?), pours a glass of water for Seryant (Can't get you anything specific without you tellin' me what it is, dearheart.)*

*walks over to pinball machine, decimates it in two hits*

*a green Breastplate falls to the floor*

Boy, my MF equipment SUCKS!

*begins repair work on pinball machine*

I'll just take a fuzzy navel until I get this done. Then it's a pomegranate juice break before having another go at it.

*looks over at the claw machine, thinking about giving it another go*

Well... I'm already extrodinatly... extroodingly... ...really drunk, so I'll just have a quick bear and go to bed.

:drink:

Ah heck... it's my birthday today and I got my first ever Pat so I may as well have another...

:drink:

K...nah ahm rooly djunk... sho ah'd bedder getsh mashelf tso behd..

Happy birthday, Araknis. I hope your bear doesn't give you too much trouble!

Welcome to the bar, Darkist - we have a large variety of non-alcoholic drinks available for those who are either unwilling or unable to drink the alcoholic ones, so anyone's welcome to come here for a little down-time.

I'll be having a Guinness myself, particularly now that St Patrick's Day is only a couple of days away. My tourney bowazon Sarah managed to defeat Diablo over the weekend, which is always an interesting battle. I think that NM Diablo is somewhat easier than Normal, mostly because my characters tend to be much more powerful by the time they get there. I haven't every had to (or been able to) beat him with my fists, though - that's quite an impressive achievement, Shalak.

Another Conqueror... now all I have to do is get through it all again, just the monsters are even more dull... *sigh* why do I always pick the builds that have the killing speed of a Normal Quill Rat on sedatives?

Ah well. I'll have a pineapple juice, I s'pose. :drink:

Toast to you, Araknis :drink: You sound vaguely familiar - perhaps we've met?

Don't mind me anyone, i'm all gaga over being back here and seeing some of the old community still alive, and thus frantically posting everywhere to try to re-establish my circle of friends  I can just see it now...
Reg1: Who is this guy?
Reg2: Who knows? He says he was a reg.
Reg3: Ahh well, lets just play along and look like we remember the loser.
Reg4: Righty O

Pff... I think I remember you but you left shortly after I joined, IIRC... maybe it's my bizarre probability-warping effect.

*a chicken outside promptly turns into a giant hamster*

See? That was improbable... *goes and hides before something improbably nasty happens*

Happy Birthday to you Araknis!

Just went to a major birthday party Friday for 2 of my high school buddies. We weren't able to get a keg of Guiness, so they went to a liquor store and bought 15 cases with the money everyone had pitched in. It was a beauty to see the bathtub all iced up and full of Guiness. I was amazed we finally downed all the stuff.

Anyway, I'll just take a Bud. I was never much of a Guiness fan myself, but if it's offered I'll take it.

Grrr, I've gotta get a new job. One that pays full time for at least a decent amount of money. Working part time for $5.25 an hour will NOT get me back out of my parents' house. And it's Spring Break, my sister's over (kicking me into the computer room to sleep on the futon), so I've gotta use my parents' computer instead of mine. Copy all my D2 files, yadda yadda. Haven't been playing much since the Magic Find Olympics ended. In fact, my playing time has taken a steep dropoff since I became re-employed. Such is RL, I guess.

I also feel bad that I haven't touched my SPHCL characters in over a month or two. My poor Bonecaster Necro and Warcry Barb have been in limbo and probably will be for a bit longer. I decided that I needed to do some more grailing instead. I've still only seen around 10 elite uniques/sets since I've been playing and have only managed to get a few characters into Hell difficulty. Decided I needed some more seasoning before having more of a go at HC ladder play.

Okay, I've blabbed on enough. I'll just take my Bud and drink 'till I get a new job. :uhhuh:

Hello, all! :D

Not a whole lot of D2 since Cytherene's Matriarchy. I've been testing out Morrowind, at the rather vehement "suggestions" of my older sister and sig. other. Nice, but I think I'll stick with D2 for now.

My next project is Nihlathak, my HC Skelemancer. He'll be splitting his time up with Cailleach, but if I can get Nihlathak past Normal, it'll be a blessing. At least he's past Duriel, which is excellent as far as I'm concerned. Any idea how to take out Diablo? Just decrep before he lets out the fire ring o' minion doom?

Oh, well. I'm going to take my morning pomegranate juice and head off to the corner for a bit.

Yeah, cast decrep and keep recasting clay golem next to him (helps take the heat...and lightning breath...off your merc) and have a few points in Summon Resist. In Normal, Diablo is a tough fight for a Skelliemancer but it can be done. Good luck.

*goes into bar and slam his head down in a barrel filled with ice cold water*

needed that

aha 7 years its time to go back i guess.

no need to keep the stance the old days wont return....

/goes back to lurk mode/

have fun posting :howdy:

L_W: Aw, man, don't go complete!Lurk on me. Life's too good for that! :p Have a cider sans cactus on me.

In the meanwhile, I have an update. My HC (untwinked--completely forgot to mention that, as I forgot until I fired him up earlier) Necro, Nihlathak, has bested Mephisto *and* Diablo. The fight against Mephi was somewhat anticlimactic. The fight against Diablo took forever...and required three trips to the Arcane Sanctuary for bodies and to town to resurrect Zanarhi. Mephi dropped me a Twitchthroe and Isenhart's Lightbrand. Diablo didn't drop anything of use. Have since taken out Shenk and Eldritch the Rectifier.

Must go. Off to dinner.

Shalakshmiyin
