My mom physically can't walk in, so that works out nicely. It doesn't catch you by surprise if she has to call you to let her in the dorm.

I actually had a good set up at home, my monitor faced away from the door, so if she came in I had enough time to save & exit.

My room was upstairs and the stairs were squeaky, it gave me a good 10 second warning at least.

Nah, his poor mother has already been bagged out enough. I could always bag out your door-shaped wife, but that has been done as well.

Computer down the stairs always worked well, as did computer down hall with squeaky floorboards. I can hear a mouse stepping on those things.

If/when I have kids I am going to set up a hidden camera to watch their computer screen.
