It's always possible though I don't for a minute think mafia don't have a night kill this game. In some games, mafia aren't told they have a mafia night kill - it's just assumed. Mafia still sent in kills and the mod still killed players targeted by mafia.

Curious if anyone wants to come out with some results from last nights actions. I realize it was only n1 and this is d2, but all we've done is speculate.

Why urge others to do something you were unwilling to do yourself?

If I had information, I'd give the information. BA is the only person to give any insight as to what's happened at night. I'm glad, as I enjoy reading about it, and it gives us smthn to talk about besides pure speculation.

There is a 1% chance IMO that someone who was town would select this role in the second overall position. It is absolutely one of the last roles a second choice person should select. There is only one reason that someone would select that. Whos with me?

That's a perfectly good role for a townsperson. 50% to not get nk'd? What's scummy about that?

Let me rephrase: Why did you advocate others to roleclaim when you weren't willing to roleclaim to get things started?

Ok, i'm really tired so I'll be sure to write up a full post in the morning but for now I will confirm that last night my role was stolen (by who was not stated) and yes I was the hider and I'm pretty sure others will side with me that hider is an excellent choice for a townie especially for one with a high bid position for multiple reasons so I'm pretty sure your 1% chance is pretty inaccurate.

@goryani because I think rolecop can be pretty darn useful and dont want attention drawn to that person.

As for the two posts I quoted....I strongly strongly disagree. It isn't 50% chance to avoid NK, its 50% chance to avoid ANYTHING which includes getting investigated, role stolen, jail kept etc.

that 1% might be a "lil" higher :smug:, but seriously, the second pick and hider? My vote won't be changing unless its to flub this day phase

aw, I was kind of fond with the first quote!

My role provides no '3rd party'/flavor information. If, being the last pick, and if I thought there may have been as possibility of one of those roles being open (besides ninja), I would have went for it. I will say that I did get the toke I chose, and was quite ecstatic! as, knowing what usually happens to me in these games, I figured I could at least go out with a bang. :loving:

Naa, I enjoy reveals! I will agree with you on pyros non voting, and to whoever noticed the top 7 did Not vote for asrrin. both are good informations. After putting those two thoughts together, and what looked like pyros flailing of the arms, "yeah yeah that! " post 'defense' (a few posts up)

Hi, everybody. I'm truly sorry about my absence. However, now I'm back for good.

@asrrin yesterday: I obviously didn't vote for him, as I wasn't online. I'm still not too sure I would've actually voted for him. I didn't like the whole "you are note asrrin, you are weird"-thing, but maybe that's because he didn't seem to act a lot different to me. Huh? I don't get how it wouldn't be a bad pick?

First of all I see A LOT more uses and incentitive for mafia to pick the role than town. Second of all, yes, maybe it can be useful for town. But compared to the other options? Nope, I don't see it. Why would one rather be a hider than a cop/doc/whatever?

Also, the very first couple of picks would most likely be expected to pick doc/cop/etc. If they didn't do so, I fear that these roles aren't even in the game, since the lower picks probably wouldn't choose them.

Yes it's pretty WIFOA but tl;dr: Hider seems a lot more useful to pick for mafia, and picking it as town seems.. Not town-like to me. I'm really looking forward for pyro's reasoning.

I'm willing to trust Bad Ash here. There is no reason for a town person to choose the hider.

Most of us wanted roles that we would enjoy playing, roles that would make a difference for our alignment. The hider is no such role if you're town. But it is, actually, a pretty damn good one if you're mafia.

In regards to the role-thief. If in the hands of the town, the role-thief can be a good weapon to confirm peoples roles. However, in this game, in the hands of the mafia, it could turn out to be quite dangerous. Then the mafia can choose whichever role they want from us.

So, my conclusion is to get rid of Pyrotechnician as soon as possible (even though I love the role-thief).

Didn't get the reasoning, I didn't see him playing unlike he usually does. Then I was ****faced from Sat morning until early Sun morning, and couldn't have changed my vote off Sathoris even if I wanted to. Which I didn't want anyway.

Oh, and the hider is definately a role that one could've picked to prevent the mafia from having it. Not that the uses it has are great for a town player (albeit a 50% nk immunity is useful), but keeping it away from the mafia is a sound reason in my books. I'm also not digging the way you guys are piling on Pyro this early, and I'm inclined to add TC and FoE to the list of my suspects, perhaps even higher than flub.

I'll go with BA now

If BA is telling the truth we at least kill the role theif, a fun role sure, but one that serves to only add more chaos to an already hetic game. (And will move on if we don't take it out today), if Pyro doesn't flip theif, then BA lied and he gets lynched tomorrow, but I don't see why he would throw such a sacrifice down.

Also Hider being a mafia role: Eh commuiter is a pro-town role and is a similar thing, but admitidly it is more useful for mafia (coin flip immunity vs cop, roleblocker et al vs coin flip protection vs NKs) and there is better armor classes out there too. Pyro's pick was #2 so if he just wanted NK immunity I think there was better choices.
