Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I do not know if this has been documented yet, but I noticed a discrepancy with GoMule and v1.13 of Diablo2. The Bank function does not allow the maximum gold to be displayed/transferred, because characters will not hold or display more gold than the old (pre-1.13) character level maximums. Not a huge deal, I only first noticed it a few days ago.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I actually fixed that on my local version of GoMule's source. There's a couple of 1.13 changes that need to be made - primarily updating the files so token of absolution and it's requisite items don't cause problems.

I can look at committing these changes to cvs this weekend, but what I'm unable to do is spin a new installer once that's done. I'm not familiar with the dev/release processes on open source projects so hopefully one of the project owners can chime in.

Til Thyiad or Silosphen say otherwise I'd suggest that you do not distribute any files. You can try PMing her, but as far as I know she is against any updates to GoMule unless it is sanctioned by Silosphen. Unfortunately, Silo has not been heard from for a while.

I wasn't even considering distributing any files, but I think it's a bit extreme to suggest that nobody should update GoMule except Silo. It's an open source project under the GPL. One of the primary reasons for opening a project is so it can continue regardless of which developers are working on it at any given time.

I have no intention of ruffling any feathers. If the community doesn't want GoMule updated then I won't spend any time worrying about it.

I decided to try out GoMule but so far no joy. I can't get it to launch. I DLed it, unzipped it and double clicked the gomule.jar file and all that happens is a command window pops up for about a second then vanishes. I opened a command window, navigated to the gomule folder and ran the .jar from there and get the follwing error:

E:\Diablo II\GoMule>gomule.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: E:\Diablo II\GoMule\G

Could not find the main class: E:\Diablo II\GoMule\GoMule.jar. Program will exit.

any ideas how to fix this? I do have the latest version of Java installed

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Create a new text file in your GoMule folder, type java -jar gomule.jar in there and rename it to GoMule.bat. Place a shortcut to the .bat on your desktop or wherever.

That year 1/2 of java wasn't completely useless :D

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

It appears I have lost my Reaper's Toll during messing around in GoMule. I have no idea what happened, but one moment I had in in my stashes, the next I couldn't find it anymore. I generated a new GoMule report, and it says I have no Reaper's.

Is it considered legitimate to use a GoMule backup to get it back? I'd think so, but I thought I'd ask, just to be safe. ^^

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Hi guys,
I have just installed ATMA 5.05 for the first time ever and browsed thru first 20 pages of this thread...in case I ask what has already been answered here do not stone me please.

Is there a way to make readout of only a part of one stash, ie. only the Gems folder in the tree?
Program offers "dump full info" and "dump partial info" none of which is what I need. Not to mention the dump seems to list items randomly, not sorted in groups by type or by alphabet.
Perhaps its better to have a stash for each type of items, a gems stash, a runes stash, a uniques stash? :scratchchin:

Thank you
BRKO

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I think most people who use Atma use seperate stashes for different Item types to make things easier. There is not a way to do what you want that I am aware of, but I don't use Atma except for time traveling. If you are playing 1.13 you should use GoMule as it is much easier.

Thanks for reply kes.
All praise ATMA and it cant perform such basic task while GoMule can? Separate stashes would mean mean dragging items one by one to a dozen new locations should I create them, damn
Eventhough GoMule is java dependant which I dont like I will give it a try.

Since no one is answering... Yes, of course, that's the reason backups exist.

@BRKO Yea, well, ATMA is much older than GoMule, and while Hakai_no_Tenshi didn't only have to worry about the effectiveness of his program he had to make sure it got accepted in community. I suppose that's why he simulated in game transfers in ATMA (one by one) rather than the clipboard that exists in GoMule.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

When I try to load one of my atma stashes it says "Bad file size (0), unable to load stash file."

Is there a way to recover this stash if I didn't have it backed-up or is it lost for good?

I'm assuming you mean you didn't have it manually backed-up, because ATMA will create backups for you automatically.

Find the folder containing that stash, and there should be a bunch of ".org" files - find the most recent and replace your current stash file (".d2x") with it. As long as at least one of the automatic backups isn't corrupted you should be OK - though you may end up with a slightly older version of it.

Did you recently put an essence into the stash? That is a known cause of corrupted stash. Keep essences on characters not in stashes when using ATMA.

Do as Crehl said, and this is a good reminder to everyone again, back up. ;p

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Alright, I tried as you mentioned but I've hit a speedbump.

When I access my atma stashesthrough atma it looks like this. They are stored in this manner, osc/program files/atma/atma_conig and all of the stashes are findable through atma.

When I try to ind the stashes manually however I don't see them or the.org files. This is what the atma_config folder looks like when I acces it manually.

Why would none of the stashes be there as they are when I access that same folder through atma?

Edit:  Hit the compatibility files icon and all of the d2x and .org files showed up. Thanks crehl!

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I have a question about Flavie. Is it inside the gomule-applikation? Like it says on the site. I can't find the applikation itself.

Regards from John ~

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

It's integrated into GoMule (at the bottom-left there's a button to generate the report), but you can also download it as a free-standing app from Flavie's site.
