So instead of all upper case you do all lower case ... I did say it was case sensitive didn't I? You need to let the OCR properly identify both lower and upper case letters, not just one or the other.

There's a horizontal red line drawn over the symbol image when adding symbols, use that to determine symbol height. Letters that reach above it should be upper case, letters below it should be lower case. At least that's was the plan I had when I added that red line. :whistling:

just a simple question. i've used back the old version cause it felt way easier to use at this developing stage and...

now i have this problem where i cant tell which char my items are on cause the portion where it writes 'xxmuleone' is gone, all i see is WSLL and then followed by a summary tab which is blank.

any idea how do i resolve this?

Again, I'd prefer to get screenshots rather then always guessing what the issue is ... that said the columns shouldn't disappear ... try scrolling to the right, then drag/drop the columns to reorder them as you wish.

ah damnit i dont know how to prevent it from being resized.

if you scroll and zoom in, after the 'etheral tab', i have the 'location' tab, and all of it says WSLL instead of my character name. i suppose it's supposed to be under the 'location' tab.

WSLL = USWest Expansion Ladder

Although I'm not sure how expansion becomes an L, the term WSLL indicates those pieces of info about the character. Your characters name should be under the "Character" column.


In any case, seems I spoke to soon regarding if columns could disappear or not. If you drag a column down and release the mouse button below the column header row they will get hidden. To restore hidden columns right click on the grid and choose "select columns", then drag the "Character" column from the column selector back to the column header row.

Heyaz, thinking about playing some D2 again for a while. Looks like the 6-item breaking problem still persists?

Has anyone tried running Adria in Virtual XP from Win 7 64bit to see if it still occurs? I'm thinking of trying it out a bit later.

Try the 4.4.0 Beta, that particular problem should be gone ... however another one might have surfaced ... no time to program on my part atm, but I'll get some once my exams are over.

Hi I like the idea so I download and installed it, it starts fine, but, following the video to add accounts and I press f12 I can't move the arrow buttons in the popup and the popup is outside of my minimize d2 screen not like the one in the video, has anyone had a similar problem?

1) Can't use up or down arrows to move the boxes in the popup thingy
2) Popup box is not in D2 window
3) Unable to add account to Adria

I think that summarized my problems, thanks

Nope tried F1 to F11, only F12 works. Pressed it when focus on Adria and also tried it when window is focus on Diablo II

Alright, the problem you're experiencing is most likely due to Adria ignoring keystrokes unless the window recognized as D2 is in focus. The exception to this is of course F12 so makes sense that one works regardless.

Basically you need to make it so that the right window is recognized as D2. Seeing if the ingame window correctly locks onto d2 should be a good indicator if any changes you do worked.

Firstly open application->settings->general in the main window, make sure that the "Window Caption" string is correct. In your case it should be "Diablo II", which is the default so it is probably already correct.

Secondly I think I recall something about the windows 7 preview feature possibly messing it up. If that windows feature creates another window (possibly hidden) with the caption "Diablo II", then adria could be looking onto that window instead of the right one. Try disabling that feature.

Yep tried the Aero preview thing no dice,
so the steps to take is
1. Start up Adria
2. Start diablo II
3. Press F12 in diablo II window
4. Adria should lock on and start engine

or

3. Press F12 at Adria window
4. Adria should lock on to Diablo II window and start?

cause if your suppose to do this "3. Press F12 in diablo II window" then yea can't detect f12 when d2 is in focus

Windows has a list of programs, a chain, that it shows where the keystrokes are to be sent. Each program in this chain can decide which keystrokes to pass onto the next program or intercept.

The keyhook we use inserts adria early into this chain, before the "window in focus". As such we always get the keystrokes, assuming that the hook was correctly initialized. Our code then decides how to handle them and atm (4.4.0 beta) it's in short like this:

Always intercepted:
F12 = Toggle ingamewindow On/Off, do not pass along

Never intercepted:
VK_PRINTSCREEN, VK_SHIFT, VK_CONTROL, VK_ALT, VK_PAUSE, VK_CAPSLOCK, VK_NUMLOCK, VK_SCROLL, VK_LSHIFT, VK_RSHIFT, VK_LCONTROL, VK_RCONTROL, VK_LALT, VK_RALT = do nothing, pass along

VK_LWINDOWS = toggle ingamewindow off, pass along
VK_RWINDOWS = toggle ingamewindow off, pass along

Depending on toggle:
All other keys, ingamewindow must be on and the active window must have the same caption as specified in the settings. If both criteria are fulfilled then run functions depending on keystroke and don't pass along, otherwise we do nothing and pass it along.



After Looking into it I can now see that it should have worked even if the ingame window locked onto something else ... only thing that should matter is that the window in focus has the correct caption.

Not sure what to guess now :scratchhead:. Justaplayer could most likely give better support regarding win7 ...

Having a similar problem on 64-bit Windows 7. My first run of Adria, the box appeared on F12 activation, but the scans were not working, and the box was not responding, so I restarted and tried again. But now the box doesn't show at all. However, the F1-F8 keys still show their respective display dialogs (if they have one), but still nothing will scan. Pressing F12 will indeed pull up and lock the window, and the log file confirms that the window is found, with no other errors listed.

Tried running as administrator, various compatibility modes, windowed and full screen, to no avail. Also searched around the thread but couldn't find any fixes. I'm also idling the #adria channel on IRC if anyone wants to help there.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to menton it's Adria 4.4.0

EDIT2: Fixed. Thanks Kijya. Apparently the opacity was set to practically invisible.

hey Verdale care to share what you did? Which part was it that you change? From your description it seems like you can start the engine and follow up by some keystrokes?

I don't know, I really didn't do anything other than change the opacity but apparently Adria let me scan about 2 mules of items and now it won't let me scan anything anymore. Even tried reloading D2, Adria, and rebooting. I guess I'll be back on IRC.

EDIT: Fixed. Apparently was a faulty item database. Had it replaced and it works well again. Sorry mrhaut, I'm not sure while yours is acting up. Maybe come on IRC and the devs would be more than happy to assist you.

Press F1 for the list of command keys.

For scanning single items "singlescan":
Highlight a character, hover mouse over an item so that the item description is displayed, press F8. Specify any unknown symbols, leave it as "?" for invalid ones.

For scanning multiple 1x1 items "Multiscan":
Place mouse on the side of the screen you wish to scan, outside the inventory/stash/cube item grid. Highlight character and press F5. In the add symbol interface press F1 for instructions.





PS: I'll not be make a video for scanning items yet, since I'm working on some changes and the video would become outdated once I've made them.

Does it work for runes?
Because I have my char full of runes now.
