Adria - Inventory Management System

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Justaplayer is busy with rl and haven't had the time to look it over yet I'm afraid. As for me I'm currently experimenting with a new ingamewindow design. I've managed to make a transparent, always on top form that is also click-through, but having some flickering problems, justaplayer is really the person with more experience with this type of advanced functionality.

That's about what is going on atm, not too much but at least something.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Yes, downloaded them from the googlecode site.
Hmm, if it isn't that then I fear I cannot give much other reliable suggestions.

Still, that said it does look like you are running a 64 bit system, and we have not really done much testing on those. However it should work as stated here:
http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7567073#post7567073

Try to turn on/off different compability modes and see if that helps. Also make sure you run it as admin.

I've tired everything that comes to mind. Multiple compatability settings running in admin and restarting. It just crashes on startup gives me an error and asks to close the program. Very strange.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Progress has been steady this week, and while I could give you a preview of the changes made to the ingame interface, they still aren't 100% finalized, so I better wait a little more. What can be said though is that the first two tabs ("item" and "char") have merged into a single one, and the treeview holding accounts and characters has been replaced with a imo better system.

As for the OCR functionality we have 4 commands so far:
1) multiscan = all add runes and gems in the inventory, stash or cube with a single scan using their images instead of their item description text.
2) item info = scan item and jump to the info tab to look that item up, good for checking how near perfect your items are
3) cropped screenshot = because images are sometimes preferred, saves your item description as a bmp, naming the file according to item name.
4) singlescan = just as you already know it, except that this time the dynamic getletter functionality has gotten a face-lift to the point where I'd say we don't need a hardcoded static one anymore.

All tested and working on my comp.

Sounds great :P I can't wait to be able to save individual items as pictures! :D

The feature is just meant to lessen the work needed for uploading pictures to threads like the ones in the statistic's forum: rare, crafted, magic

I'd love to hear some opinions on how they should be saved. Since the screenshot functionality still is performing a text scan to find the boarders, we can select any part of the item description we want to use for file naming. Furthermore should you be able to add date/time to the filename? etc ... anything you can think off ...

Also I'd like to hear where the screenshots should be saved, adria application path? Maybe in a user specified folder you can specify in the settings? Data folder? Folder tree using account/character?

First off, let me state how impressive it is that Adria is still developed this intensively considering how long it has been around!

As for your ideas... I'd say date/time aren't too important for trading, but then again, it isn't detrimental in any way to include it. For the naming, I'd probably name the file the same as the item (i.e. EschutasTemper.bmp). I imagine that would be clear enough for most people, since how often do you have people taking pictures of multiples of the same item on the same mule? People like options, so I'd probably add a setting for where to save images, but have it set by default as Adria's application path. Definitely don't have it ask for everything image; a set and forget setting would be much nicer. And the hierarchy of said pictures... well, I'd probably sort it using path>item_images>account>char>image as you suggested. This keeps everything very clean and organized, and only adds minimal effort to finding your image. Furthermore, in windows you can just navigate to the application path using windows explorer then use the search bar in the top right to search for your item (assuming images are named the same as the item)!

Neat! I can't wait for the next release! Thanks for all the hard work you are putting into this!

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Hello

I tryed software today. One word : W O N D E R F U L L

And legit anyway

Just a notice : How does work class and columns ? In my case, it's empty and i can't modify it. So i have a long list of empty class, and one element of "N/A" class. I saw the youtube demo, and can see in the demo that it's an useful way to classify. Is it a bug ?

Thank you very much :)

Items that are scanned and added to adria are classified using info from the "items.mdb" file located in the programs installation folder. If your items are put into the N/A class, then that means that the program could not find a corresponding entry in the mdb.

One reason can be language, the mdb only contains english item information, mostly taken from arreat summit.
Another reason can be incorrect line coloring. The line coloring of the first line is used to tell the program where in the mdb to search for the item info. If your set item incorrectly gets a white first line instead of green, then the program will be searching for "Sigons" or "Tal Rasha's" etc inside the table for normal white items ...
A third reason can of course be simple misspellings by the OCR, if the item name is incorrectly spelled the mdb search may return no hits.

Hope this is the answer you where searching for, otherwise please post a screenshot of the bug in question so that I can better understand the situation.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Has anyone found a fix for the six item limit before freezing? This program is pretty sweet, but the freezing is the only thing holding it back. Also, after the 30-day trial of the other software, is Adria still going to work?

Hello -- Have a nice day :))

I show you on this picture my case :

As you can see, no mispelling (only two lol), all in english, correct line coloring, but impossible to classify with it.

i saw ithem.mdb...it's looks like good...but not running well ?

Thank you again for you and your great work.

Adria will not be effected by the 30-day limit, no worries there.

That's very strange indeed, cannot guess how this could happen. In any case you can experiment with replacing the mdb file with the one you can find in the "binaries only" zip that is available on the download page, however I don't really expect it to solve the issue.

If the tradelist printer works correctly I guess this is not really a fatal flaw but still .... strange.:scratchchin:

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

I was just wondering if anyone ever figured out how to add items using windows 7 64bit.

I've tried running in xp compatibility mode (both sp2 and 3), run as admin, etc and like others on this thread, I wasn't able to find a fix. However, I do know I am doing everything properly since I tried it on a windows XP netbook and adding items with the insert key worked just fine.

If you guys have any tips I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

The application was made for 32 bit systems. I don't know how it will behave on 64 bit. It might work but it might not. A true fix cannot be made unless the application is ported to .net and compiled for 64 bit (the current code is done in VB6 which cannot be compiled for 64 bit).

I will try to make a test on 4 bit machine and see how it behaves. However if any of you can make a movie on such a system that would be great. Also please check for the log file (adria.log) and see what is inside it.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

I just want to say I really enjoy the program, its wonderful. However, I'm having the same problem that foudroyeur is. It just seems to lump every item into one class, not seperating them into armors, shields, helms, etc. like in the youtube video. I tried both the binary and install and the same thing on both. Really hoping to get this fixed, otherwise its really clustered. Cheers.

Edit: Just wanted to note I fixed the problem. I was running in compatibility mode for Windows 2k. I just unchecked that and now it sorts the items perfectly fine.
