Updated:
wathombe's runeword spreadsheet
Apologies again for the lack of updates over the weekend. A few low items got double-tested (including RalNef in a hammer THREE times).
Checking out the web app now...
EDIT:
Cherokee:
The web app is very nice--easy to use, easy to read, concise, and clean. I would second the need to password the site, as we've seen (*COUGH* pilfered mules *COUGH*) the depths to which some will stoop to impede our progress. Certainly this would be a MUCH easier way to track 3os+ grids.
There are things, however, that the spreadsheet contains that can't be included in that basic format: acronym pages, Warcraft clue pages, member lists, et cetera, so you'd either need to add more pages to a site, or I'd need to continue to track specialized tests of that sort. The "% complete" stat is also a very popular feature that we wouldn't want to lose.
As for my personal feelings, I'm a control freak at heart, so I'm sure I'd get the jitters a bit turning over my sacred charge as runeword scribe to either another single person or the community at large. I'm sure I'd get over it, though. To be perfectly honest, my time commitment to the hunt went way down in late October when GTA:SA came out, so it certainly wouldn't be fair of me to stand in the way of change. If I weren't keeping the grids anymore, I must admit that it's quite possible that I'd slip away entirely (at least until I finish the story missions in GTA), although probably not permanently. If I do disappear into the mists, though, remember me when y'all finally crack this ****er.
