According to Thrugg, who is by far more knowledgeable than most, orbs are their own special subclass of weapons, despite the fact that they say "Staff Class".

You would think that staves, wands, scepters and orbs would be in the same place but for some reason orbs are taken out.....they really have no "parent" item type as most items do. (ie - sword = melee, bow = missile)

I think orbs are rods, yet wands aren't. Pally scepters are also rods; the reason why I think this is because of the caster weapon recipe (tir + pamethyst + jewel + rod).

rods = scepters, wands, staves
orbs = orbs

I have a classic 2-tree sorc in the making (she should be ready in a few days), and if you guys ever need a hand to help speed up that forge rush I'd be more than happy to lend a hand when I'm on. (*tarzanella, USEast)

There are more than a few issues with the spreadsheet concerning multiple entries for the same test. DOL+HEL hasn't been updated for Warcraft clues, there are at least two or three non-entries. I think things like that can be missed and then repeated, which would cost quite a few runes and some time spent that this web app (haven't seen it) would definitely miss. If the problem is tossing everything onto Wathombe and taking the chance he won't disappear then another answer might be best.

As for the rushing, you have no idea, after showing the ease and value of hellforge rushes, how much it burns me that I haven't been able to get one mule rushed past Andariel. Right now that's all I'm willing to do, we'll see if it amounts to anything.

Not too big on rushing, Ax, though I'd be happy to cow or Baal any time you guys want to. Seems to be problematic getting multiple people on. You, Cherokee and I appear to be the only people on anymore.

Wow, I haven't checked this thread in well over a month or two and no runewords found yet? My goodness, Blizzard should just release the things because this is not fair - you guys looked like you blew a ton of high runes on testing.

I was bored, so I found out the % of 2os runewords tested.
It came out to:

correct to 12 significant digits, excellent job fellows, 1.5 percentage points higher than on the 15th.

I haven't been able to do much of the Amn + blank + blank testing lately and will proly get back to playing a little more instead of doing the testing. But I would like to offer up all the 3os items and amn and other lower runes that I had saved up to do the testing with.
Also if I could hook up with the classic rusher to rush 8 char to the hell forge, I would be willing to give up every rune that I get from the 8 char with the exception of what I need and that would be 1 ist and any gul that drops. So all the nm and hell drops are or would be donated for the testing. I can also add a couple of puls ad lems to the mix just for doing it, That is if someone would be willing to give up the time to do this. Also I am us East so I don't know who the classic rusher on east is. And if this is too much to ask for then thats cool I understand that.

Howdy pncwd,

I am not "the" official classic rusher, I suppose because I don't really know anyone in this thread too well, but I have been reading about the search from the start and I firmly believe that most of the new runewords will involve higher runes. I'm definitely up for taking a more active role in searching with you guys to help test this out, but as it is, my LoD disc is broken, so I can't access any of my high expac characters (who are on Europe softcore ladder anyway). I'm far into the creation of a classic rusher for this purpose (on USEast), but unfortunately, autumn has brought me to a really busy point regarding the balancing of work/college, so it's taking a bit longer than expected to sort it out.

Once the sorc is ready, tho, anyone on USEast who's part of this search party, or willing to donate runes to whomever is responsible, is more than welcome to contact me (again, *tarzanella) for a rush. I won't likely be able to do the actual expansion forge trip, but I'll take anyone as far as classic will allow.
