OK new rumour.

Blood
4 socket melee weapons
Io Ber El Um

Apparently it is off the 07 list and was "proved to be working" on another forum (not sure which). Anyone wealthy enough and game enough to test?

Updated: wathombe's runeword database

Sokar:

Great tips on NM clearing. I like to do the same, on a smaller scale. I like running act 5, including all the undergraound areas (Pit of Acheron, et cetera). Unfortunately, I rarely have the time to do long runs.

Thanks also for the "Blood" rumor. That's one runeword on the list that lots of people have been hoping would work, just because it sounds powerful. Interesting that it's Io Ber El Um. This is before my time, but I know a couple of the runes, including Jah, changed names from the beta to release. The runes.txt recipe we've all been looking at for "Blood" is Jah Ber El Um. If it's legit, we can toss that list, probably. If it's fake, the person used an old list for their recipe, as I think the original might have been Jo Ber El Um. I'll do some snooping.

D_R:

You are on fire with the helms! That's great.

I have a few to test tonight. My pally in hell has slowed down the past few days, as I've started a new character with some friends in a sort of ladder-running group. I'm still putting about half time into my hell pally, though, and should start Hell Countess runs this week.

well as to being on fire i dont know about that. But the process has spead up becuase ive got one other person worken with me. My associate has helped out with about 5-7 of the tests submited. Oh i also got 3 more to report tested.
antlers-hel,amn

No you're definitely on fire, thats some good work. (Note to self get an associate to test runewords). Still less than 2 hours a week for me, and usually I can't upload the most recent Dii.net thread to test appropriate runewords from home for some reason.

I can't find any info on Blood, but as Wathombe pointed out the conversion of Jo to Io is a very common "mistake" among fraudulant runeword claims.

Also I'm going to start a new thread for us to get organized as far as Forge rushing goes. I'll post a link to the thread here after I get it up and running.

I'll also update the helm grid since thats where most of the action has occured.

I couldn't find any info on Blood, either. Actually, I couldn't even find the rumor. Sokar, could you let us know where you saw the rumor so that I can harass whoever it was for evidence? If you don't want to post it, feel free to e-mail me.

I thought he said d2pages but I just spoke to him and I must have gotten confused with those people that were all excited over Vindicate and Mindless (which people still insist work). I've never heard of d2pages before so I wasn't rushing out to get a trojan.

He said he saw Blood on a Paladin in a Baalrun (bloody maphack) and that it was in an axe. So scrap the melee weapons as I previously reported and stick with axes if you're planning on testing it.

Incidentally, I tried Myth and I seem to recall someone trying Storm but has anyone tested any of the other, known, inactive runewords? If Starlight, for example, is still inactive it at least removes a combo from a block but if it turns up gemmed then we know it HAS been activated but there is a change in either the runes or the item. I think there are about half a dozen of these known, inactive, runewords out there so it's not a lot.

Ya a bunch of these inactive runewords have been tested thus far but most of the high runewords still remain untested. Pluse there is more then half a dozen out there. More like 113 inactive 1.07 runewords. So testing on those has really slowed because of the high prices on runes.

Ps: i'm making forge rusher on non-expansion, and has anyone else noticed that almost the entire population of non-expansion players is made up of complete newbs? I swear I explained the concept of the summoner quest in one game like 7 times.

What if... if they havnt been activated yet? Or am i now saying something stupid cause i didnt read all the pages of this topic?

I mean, has there been any new runeword discoverd yet and been proven with multiple screenshots etc?

Very funny. As if there aren't enough newbs on expansion...

You're on West, right? Like I said, when your rusher is ready and you need rushees, let me know. If we can get at least three or four people together, we might be able to knock off one high-level 1.07 recipe per run, which would be great.

Also, I don't have your acct name on the list if you want it listed...

I might be able to make a Duriel-mule account to at least contribute easy staff acquiring for your runs. Let me know the Realm and I'll make a low level Sorc for staff hording.

oh ya forgot to give me account, the main acount i am usen for ladder is pandasrforever. (really stupid name i no) the account i maken the rusher on is a shared account but it is panda_express1. (the panda theme comes from a clan we were gonna make but never really got off the ground). also i'll be sure to let u no when my rusher gets up and running. it shuoldnt take that long sense it only needs to get charcters through nm. because after that we can rush em through expansion charcters.
ALso i ahve more helsm to report tested:
cap-tal,el
antlers-sol,tal
great helm-tir,tal

Actually, the panda_express acct name is kinda clever, for those of us on the west coast familiar with the chain, anyway.

You misunderstood what I meant.

Dream, Myth, Starlight, Storm and Terror (and I believe a few others) are known inactive runewords for which screenshots exist and can be found on this very site. I was not referring to the 07 list. Some words on the 07 list have never worked and have always resulted in gemmed items. Inactive runewords give 25% poison resistance and the inherent rune mods along with the unique name, they do NOT become gemmed items. What I was suggesting was that if Myth (which I tried and got the expected result) had come up as a gemmed circlet, it would then be time to try a dru helm and then a barb helm, because it would then be a certainty that this word had been activated. Even if it failed in all 3 helm types it would still mean it was activated but the runes had changed. There are a number of other runewords where this is the case:

Zod Tir Um Mal Lum will come up as a gemmed axe and not Beast because the recipe was changed to Ber Tir Um Mal Lum.

Tir Amn El Ort will make gemmed armour and not Chains of Honour (Dol Um Ber Ist).

Eth Ral will make gemmed armour, not Bramble (Ral Ohm Sur Eth).

Jo (Jah) Tal Ist Lo Ort Lem will make a gemmed weapon not Breath of the Dying (Vex Hel El Eld Zod Eth)

Thul Ith Thul Mal will make a gemmed weapon not Call to Arms (Amn Ral Mal Ist Ohm)

Sur Ort Eld Shael will make gemmed armour (that is the listing given) and not Chaos (Fal Ohm Um in Claws)

Eld Hel Um will make a gemmed axe not Crescent Moon (Shael Um Tir)

Lem Ort Po (Io) will make a gemmed helm not Delirium (Lem Ist Io)

El Tir in a helm will make Myth with the inherent mods of El and Tir plus 25% poison resist. This means that, unlike the abovementioned runewords, the recipe for Myth remains unchanged and it is still inactive.

Note that some of these runewords are almost the same recipe in their final, active, state - Beast being a fine example with only the first rune changed. Others, like Chaos, bare no resemblance to each other. Others, while changed, still retain runes from the original beta listing.

What I am suggesting is that perhaps the person that tried Storm and got a gemmed shield should try all permutations of the recipe, when that does not work start changing the runes, one by one. If it came up as gemmed with the currently known recipe, it is likely that the recipe has changed and it has indeed been activated (sad to say, but it may even have different runes in a different item if Chaos is anything to go by).

I like ur thinken sokar. It makes sense although i was unaware that inactive runewords responded like this. also i got so mor ehelms to report:
full helm-ith,eth
circlet-nef,ral
antlers-ith,nef
shako-dol,nef
skullcap-amn,nef
cap-amn,eld

omg, it seems that some sort of toture mehtod was developed while i wasnt looking. I have yet to find a single shard of intellegence in that of non-expansion players. Trying to lvl a rusher is going very very slowly without the support of anyone but newbies. anyways, this is one of the amin reason for my slow down in rune testing, ive spent a ot of me time tryin to get a classic (non-expansion) rusher. I'm hopeing that signs of intellegence are found in nm/hell, if they arent then the making of this rusher could take quite some time.
