My thoughts as well. However, if I planned correctly, resistances should not be necessary by the time I reach hell. As I mentioned before, energy shield does not factor in resistances. So as long as I have energy shield active with mana, resistances are not needed at all. Currently in Act 3 NM all my resistances are terrible and I haven't had a single NDE yet during the act.
As promised, below is a list of my current gear. Element, the all energy, lightning sorceress is level 61 in a Flayer Jungle. Finds has been nothing short of astonishing. I am blown away at the quality and quantity of items which dropped given no magic find.
