Thanks haha! =D And yes, I panic everytime I loose a durability point. (Even more so when I find I have lost three after running Baal Dx )

Boneaparte has joined the list of Mummy Destroyers, without much trouble it must be said.

Saw a nice gold ring in the Frozen Tundra, but disappointment reigned when it just turned out to be a Manald Heal...although i guess it might be useful.

Nitty really surprised me, he dropped something I didn't even know could drop in normal, this beauty, not much use for me in this tournament, but nice nonetheless.

Baal dropped me Hsarus' Boots on the first run...pity really, I wouldn't have minded re-running him a few times.

I got that same item from a normal witch in A5, with 0 MF, from my werewolf, who then blew it in A3 NM. I personalized it as Fury was my backup attack, but it is always nice to see one of those in HC. What ED% did you get?

BTW, my all alone character caught uo to you last night. I find it tough to decide which tourney character to play. Have a good one.

Bone_Wrap has killed NM Mephisto (Twice) and received his reward (Eisenhart's Case!). After struggling through the durance twice, I was glad to get that reward and move on. Actually, I had the choice between the Case and a unique kris (The Jade Tan Do). Neither is worth much for Bone_Wrap, but I had to pick something.

One good item that was added in Act 3NM was this charm:

Shimmering Grand Charm of Blight: All Resistances +14 and +6 poison damage over 3 seconds

Bone_Wrap also built a Lore helm out of a bone helm with two sockets. He replaced his bone wand that had +3 to bone spear with one that has +3 to all poison and bone skills. That does not help bone spear, but it does help bone armor and bone prison, along with any other of that category of skill that I decide to utilize in the future.

Bone_Wrap has killed NM Diablo (Twice) and received his reward (Arctic Binding!). Bone_Wrap played Act 4NM on P5 the first time through. Then, when there was no reward, he played P7 for the second shot at Diablo. I was glad to get that reward and move on. Actually, I had the choice between the Binding and a Cleglaw's Claw. Neither is worth much for Bone_Wrap, but I had to pick something and the Arctic Binding has +40 Cold resist while the Hsarus belt that he is currently wearing only has +20. Of course, the binding only has two tiers of potions. I guess i will stick with the Hsarus belt.

Bone_Wrap was thrilled to see an IO rune drop at the forge. That along with one of the three Dols that he found previously allowed him to build a "White" wand.

Wolron and Kool have great weapons and I am very impressed with Kool's gear overall. Good job to both of you. I have to catch up with my wimpy Toxic Wight now! Why oh why do we have to work when there are more fun things to do?

I dropped to P1 for Duriel - needless as it turned out as charged strike took him down in about 5 seconds (I've never played a lightning 'zon before. I could get used to this). Got a second Nagelring from him - so not a useful reward in that it doesn't let me use anything I couldn't have otherwise, but on the otherhand it's a great ring to have at this stage in the game.

My MF is now 28% + 24% (Nagelrings) + 19% (Amulet of Fortune) + 16% (Topaz in an ethereal helm ... second slot still open and waiting for another decentish topaz) = 87%. I've found a few set and unique pieces, but nothing that would be particularly good even if I could use it.

Light_Wight has killed Andariel. I was dumb and used my imbue on an ethereal demonhide boots because I was still barefoot, and the mods were crap except 31% LR and then I got Vidala's boots as a quest reward. I should have waited until the end of the act. The boots had the name viper too, so they don't even have to be ethereal to use them. I do have 2 PSkulls though, so maybe I'll reroll them later (after getting 4 more). I stopped after killing Radament, as Cloak of Shadows crashed my game, so I'll go clean the pool a bit now.

Thanks Old Soldier! It will be interesting to say the least, oh gosh, and you know what the ironic part is? If I do make it to Guardianship, it will be my first Guardian, ever, since I've had this game hahahaha! xD

Oh, and when you re-roll ethereal items, they become not ethereal, it sucks, luckily I only lost a mediocre set of boots that way = \

Oh! And finally, after trudging through the Jail, (AND OH MY FREAKING GOD! Seriously, on Jail Level 2, there were ONLY boss packs, I saw a total of about 12 normal monsters, and 7-8 boss packs, and there were three Wraith boss packs, and a few NDE, not good at all.) forcefully beating his way through the Catacombs, Lord finally boned Andariel to death, she was really pretty easy. And he was paid in the form of The Scalper Francisca. Not really helpful, but eh, it put him into the next Act.

Although I am very worried about my Smoke, it's down to 6 Durability, and soon it is going to have to go over to the Mercenary and I am going to have to go back to my Stealth = \ That loss of +50 resist is really going to hurt. Big time..

Kool, why don't you keep it (smoke) at two or three durability, switch it to the merc, and you can still use it versus Meph and Diablo and Baal because you shouldn't be getting into melee range and if I recall correctly the armor doesn't lose durability getting hit with elemental attacks. Also, thanks for the tip about the reroll of the boots. I knew that items changed to non-ethereal during crafting but not with skulls.

I got that same item from a normal witch in A5, with 0 MF, from my werewolf, who then blew it in A3 NM. I personalized it as Fury was my backup attack, but it is always nice to see one of those in HC. What ED% did you get?

245%. I can't remember what the range is though and am too lazy to look it up.

Nice "Whites" guys. I'm near the end of Act I NM, and am looking around carefully for those matching runes! Will update when Andy falls and drops a nice gift (hopefully).

Bone_Wrap has just killed the overlord (first quest in Act 5) and has taken a couple days off for a short trip to a wedding. I spent most of my driving time (14 hours) thinking about what to do next with this mummy. There are two major decisions coming: what to do with the Anya personalization, and how to get another attack type.

The Anya personalization quest has three options (so far). One is to make a smoke armor out of a two socketed Cuirass. The other two are to improve a three socketed Scutom with either three perfect diamonds or Ral-Ort-Tal. Any of the three will give about +50 to resist all and allow Bone_Wrap to continue to have max resistance into Hell (if he gets there). The Cuirass would replace an upgraded (tigulated) Hawkmail armor, so Smoke will not provide any really useful improvement over and above the resist all. The Hawkmail has "cannot be frozen" along with "10% faster run/walk" to counter the "+280% missile defense" of the smoke armor. The hawkmail also has +15% to max cold resist along with +15 cold resist and +30 fire resist (socket improvement).

I tend to lean toward the three perfect diamonds in the Scutom. Anyone care to comment???

The other decision is what to do about getting another elemental attack as we go into Hell and start seeing all those immunes. I am contemplating moving to an Act 3 merc and getting an Iron wolf with cold spells. But, that cannot be done until Bone-Wrap gets to Act 3 hell (No going back to previous acts for any reason!!). Other than that, I am considering the possibility of finding a useful bow with a bunch of sockets. Of course, that would mean personalizing the bow because there is almost no chance of getting a usable bow other than that (that would eliminate the Scutom mentioned earlier). Another possible solution would be to find a polearm with enough elemental damage to allow the merc to do some fire/cold/lightning damage. The final idea is to switch to a rogue bowyer merc in Act 1 Hell. If I could get a good bow, that might be the best solution.

Since there are very few "magic immune" monsters, my current plan is to ignore this problem and try to avoid any "magic immunes" that I run into. As far as the personalization goes, go with your gut feeling = )

But for the Magic Immunes, you have the Plague Bearers in the Lost City (These are can be dealt with by A.) having your mercenary hack them to bits and B.) Exploding corpses near them.) But once you get into the later parts of Act 2, the Undead Summoning Guys (Horadrim Ancients?) are magic immune, okay, they can be killed, and normally exploding all their little skeleton minions is enough to kill/almost kill them. They only problem that I found with these was a Physical Immune/ Magical Immune Boss, needless to say, I bonewalled him in, and then left = )

And now, golly good fellows! The fat lard of a bug Duriel has fallen, I find it slightly sad Act Boss battles are less fun/dangerous than the rest of the act, oh well haha! I was rewarded with:

And luckily, since I was playing it extremely safe, and using an almost absurd amount of bonewalls, I didn't loose one durability on Smoke =D However, I have a feeling with the stupid fast melee enemies in Act 3, that will be a different story = \

I know that Gloams are a pain, but I never realized that they were bugged. Exactly which of their bad habits are the bugged ones?? Are you sure that the dastardly programmer that you mention made a mistake (bug) or was he just "dastardly".

I've always thought their Chain Lighting was bugged. Right? Or am I just crazy? But it demolishes your life bulb with alarming quickness, if you don't have any kind of tank you will be sucking down full rejuvenations and running for town. And I think he did on purpose, "Hmm, these Gloams don't do enough damage, hmmm, let's make them do, let's see, 9999 MAX DAMAGE!!! MWHAHAHAHA!!!"

Shaken, very shaken, Lord stepped through the crimson portal presented to him by the Arch Angel Tyreal. As he stepped through, his breath frosted in the air before him. There it stood, looming once again in his vision, the last stronghold against evil, Harrogath, and also, the final leg of his journey, and the hardest. Standing there, Lord knew there would be great challenges ahead, and he would face them all...

He just wished there were no more damn gloams....

Honestly, I wanted to shoot myself in the Durance of Hate Level 2! ARGH!! So effing huge! But, amazingly, I got the best map ever, if I was going to run Mephie, but eh, he dropped me a sexy Green Breast Plate on the first run.

And, Act 4, I swear to God, Burning Souls, I don't know how many NDE's I had, but now arrrgh!! My hate still remains for whoever screwed them up, Jesus H. Christ, those guys, I barely have any money to resurrect my mercenary. xD Seriously, this is how a normal encounter went:

Start: Me creeping around the edge of the map.

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! OFF SCREEN LIGHTING FOCUSED ON ME!!! LOOSING HEALTH JAM THE NUMBER 2 KEY AND RUNNN!!!! (2 Key = Full Rej)

Merc: Hey! Lighting! Enemies! Let me go help kill those pesky- (Dead)

Golem: Grumble? (Dead)

Me: TP TP TP TP TP TP!!

Then I proceeded to rez merc, jump in and out of portals, and kill 1-3 burning souls at a time. xD

Pain in my anoose.

And, ironically, the Big Oaf himself dropped me a Green Full Helm. And if Baal (if I get to him that is, drops me something from Isenhart's set, I am going to commit suicide, or just go cry in the corner = ) hahaha xD)

Oh God, wish me luck in Act 5..

OH! And I forgot to mention! I found this in the Maggot Lair back in Act 2 =D

Fantastic work Kool and the very best of luck on a safe transit through the last Act.

Just a thing about Act 4. Were you golem-scouting? I.e. casting the golem ahead of you before moving to see if he attracts any fire? You can usually suck a few enemies towards you using that without having to move.

Anyway, kill Baal and may he drop you something nice first time. Nice Nats too!
