Just a small update. Went from the Black marsh through to Andy. Gained 5 levels in the process, and andy dropped me a rare crystal sword, woo.:sad2:
So far I'm still waiting for a decent weapon. My 30% ED voulge won't be doing so good for long. Does anyone know what level you can start gambling Mauls?

Actually, it just took me a good 5 minutes of re-doing the gamble screen to get a maul at lvl 19, I guess they're just "rare" at that level. hah

Horatio completed the whole of act 3 today and got up to the River of Flame. He is doing pretty good at this stage. No real NDE's atm however killing speed is a little on the down side. My merc is doing all the real damage for me with his 3 soc spectum with gems. I am very scared at the moment becuase i am about to face diablo. Reason being my last 2 HC Untwinked characters have fallen both to diablo's lightning. lucky for me my Lightning resist is maxed however my fire resist is the lowest of them all at 15 (24 when i use battle command). So i was thinking should i place some points into natuarl resist before i face diablo?. I also hope i can find a good weapon because i dont feel my 'Steel' Gaint sword is up to the task of taking out diablo and also other foul monsters.

EDIT- i just got a 'Malice' Maul so i hope it will do better. It swings quite slow so i am wishing to gamble some gloves with IAS. Is there any other alternative options in for weapons for an Berserker barb?

You should fear iron maiden when you reach act 4 in hell whaha

btw you can buy a belt in act 4 with 8-15% fire resist.

Haven't been on the forums for a day or so; I saw that you responded to my last post. As it was already clarified by azn_apocalypse, BO greatly increasing Concentration to the point that it's damage is higher than Berserk. Also with using a 2-H Maul, that damage will be 10 fold the damage of your previous damage. If you 1 hit KO everything than it really doesn't matter what you killing speed is. I am sure you already noticed that though after playing alittle bit with you 'Malice' Maul.

@ yourian: I don't think that he has to worry about IM (berserk does all magical damage, Iron Maiden only affects physical). He will laugh when he gets cursed with IM.

Horatio swang with his massive maul towards Diablo's back with tenacity in his eyes. Diablo was bleeding heavily, blood oozing out of his Wounds. Vikhyat (act 2 blessed aim merc) took most of Diablo's blows but he held strong. Sweat began dripping off the face of Horatio.....his heart bounding. Gripping his maul with brute strength he swung one final time and the maul crushed Diablo's spine. The screeching scream echoed through the Chaos Sanctuary. And then suddenly a bright light engulfed Horatio's eyes, he quickly raised his bloody maul in shock to block the blinding light. As he slowly looked over his maul he saw Diablo's soul burst out of his chest in a sickening crunch. He had done it he had killed Diablo:jig: .

Well that explains what happened. I killed Diablo making this the furthest I have ever gone in HC (well I have only done 2 other HC characters lol). Right now Horatio is level 40 and just rescued Anya. So I am about to go kill pindle. I will hopefully become a destroyer tomorrow. We will see

Well i have made it. I have made my first ever Destroyer. Baals minions were a real pain in the a$$. Listers group took about 10 minutes to kill and the act 2 wave. Were also annoying becuase with my 'malice' maul slow attack speed, plus baal's decrep (even slower attack speed) and to top it all off the skeletons attacks were cold. Meaning i swung the maul like once every 10 minutes:tongue: .

Baal himself took awhile but he was no threat to me at all.

Hopefully Nightmare gives me some better items and also and most importantly i stay alive

Congrats Morathi!

On my progress: Rushed through most of act 5. All quests done so far (including Nihl,) no rewards used.
No new dangers so far, but the Ancients were fun.
Ran out of mana potions on the last Ancient, so had to chang to my 3xEth shield and let my mana build up before taking down the thrower barb with Fball.

New weapon is her Spectral Shard she just found. Also finally got a 4xPTopaz armour! :jig:

Edit @ Morathi. I love putting that "n" in your name for some reason. I might just ignore it from now on

Also you are in hell very early IMO. I always seem to enter Hell at clvl 75. It is always strange that i dont focus on getting to level 75 it just always happens. But what ever floats your boat, Good luck and have fun.

A5 was a breeze except for Lister's pack (stunlock-blocklock-stunlock-oh hell let the minions take care of him) and Baal (killed him on /players 4 for more loot, and it took a while). Bought a couple of +1 Assa claws, and am ready to shock nightmare!

Small update, didn't get to play much. Found a Raven Claw, useless for this character, naturally.

@yourian: Don't count on getting Titan's. At /p3, 300 MF, it takes... 650 runs. Plus you don't have teleport, which means getting past Bremm, etc. Besides, you don't really need it

Get a rare with PMH, repl. stack and incr. stack size and you're set.

@Drystan: Ptopaz armor in hell? :shocked: What are your resists like?

It's been quite a while since I dusted off this game, and since I still have a few charaters to go in my 1.10 set of guardians, I figure a nice straight-forward tourney is the way to regain some interest.

I know the rules say version 1.11, but I will compete in 1.10 to work on my HC Septavirate (yes, I recall a thread discussing this term :wink3: ). I will choose a nice "easy" build to restart - a classic Meteorb, using sasja's guide.
