1.07 News, Info and Gossip

Hello oracles of D2 wisdom,

I got two questions:

1) Can you bug Andariel in 1.07 for permanent Questdrop
2) If so, can I carry this over to 1.09, if I forwarded that character ?

Well, at least according to all the info I can find, including the various internet wayback sites, the missing level entry isn't 'the only weird thing' about 1.07 Nosferatu's Coil...it isn't listed as indestructable. Every other 1.07 elite unique item is...apparently, indestuctablity was considered an innate property of elite uniques, and I wonder if Nos' Coil is among the 'unfinished' things about 1.07...I've never seen anyone report getting one, much less seen a readout, so I'm not sure...

Haha, well I just meant that the rlvl of the unique is 0, so I suppose the rlvl of the base/belt will take over, which is 61. :p

The indestructible property is set individually for each unique, the only elites that are missing it are Windforce and Nosferatu's Coil. Even Eaglehorn was given the indestructible property. I think they just forgot it for NC.

The craft that needs a Vampirefang Belt doesn't look very interesting, so I doubt that many players have looked out for an Armor Stand for it, let alone do 2,000+ runs. I just don't see why NC wouldn't be able to drop. :confused:
 
Well, I don't know about consensus, or most efficient, but LK, cows, and Council are all pretty good sources of charms... note that grand charms from named Councils, champion and boss cows, or from poppables in the cow level can get the highest 'of Vita' affix in hell...

@Phevo agree with max, beta CtA is the best use for most

@Fruit I agree there's no particular reason Nos' Coil couldn't drop, other than the missing entry in the files, but I've never seen or heard of anyone getting one, and it would make getting a 1.07 eth grail MUCH easier... just thinking of trying to rack an ethereal unique makes my soul cry o_O

Thehe. Well, I don't have one myself, but I'm positive that it can be racked. :)
I suppose nobody bothered to rack one because it's not that useful compared to other options. Unless that its +3% IAS kicks you to the new breakpoint.
 
Been running Hell Andy with 556MF, getting those last few TC3s for the grail...and had a boss Ghoul drop a Jalal's!!

Hi guys,

I´ve started out 1.07 HC lately! Sofar I´m running with 7 mules, but I´m heading towards De Seis Nightmare and I´m playing a Orb Static Sorc! Is there any chance´ll be able to finish him off? And if not, what might be a good char to beat De Seis in an 8Player game?

If you have a few points in Cold Mastery you should be fine, even if Magic Resistant or/and Cold Enchanted have made him immune to cold. By default Lord de Seis has no immunities on Nightmare (he has 60 lightning and 80 cold resistance there).
 
even my very-safely-geared lvl 99 sorc struggles with NM CS on high /p settings. Just take your time and isolate carefully. Hopefully you have BO on one of those barbs, though without some +skill gear and a higher level char it doesn't last very long...
 
Actually CS was surprisingly easy thx to a LR wand! Not easy, but not as bad as expected! Will carry those mules until Hell Act1, than I will go p1!

€: Does anybody else have the problem that Atma loads chars but doesn´t save changes?

€2: Got a Gerkes and a Aldurs Plate in 135Runz! :)

€3: Got a 100% Balrog Skin wrack with about 35sec runz! :D

And I´m dead: Wanted to check for Durance of Hate wracks, teled into a might pack, survived with 1/3 HP, wanted to press ESC but Hit Alt + Tab!

Any Ideas for a good HC Char? Luckily I couldn´t wear the Arkain´s yet!
 
MB it does, but there will pass some time till the screen isn´t black anymore! Could have closed the game, and most likely I would have survived, but that would have been cheating to me! Started a Nec!
