37 is max. 1 from Triumphant, 6-36 from bugged Cold Resist.

Thanks. I'd never seen a rare bugged MPK ring before as well, didn't even know they were possible with that recipe. It's made with a clvl 8 char, hence the other stats aren't very good. Just imagine a godly + stats + res ring with 37 mpk and 10 fcr... :crazyeyes:

Well Fabian, I did actually have one rare but not with FCR....:p

By the way, where is the best place to hunt for those Sapphires? I never seem to find any, and when I do its very seldom.

The low level requirement is great. I moved them to 1.12 a while ago and now I use them for twinking a fair amount.

Is the level requirement on Bitter Master really 63? Sometimes ATMA is flaky with level requirements for items from earlier versions. GoMule too used to have problems and it doesn't seem like any of those affixes should result in such a high required level, particularly for a ring made by a level 8 character!

Edit: Aha, I see in the IFT that the level requirement is 3, that makes a lot more sense!

Nice rare triumphant FCR rings.

I was going to make a fishyzon, but I made it to level 30 and Freezing Arrow does about a quarter of the damage Ice Arrow does. I have one point in both (and +1 to all skills), and the LCS says about the same for both (76-282 for IA and 78-284 for FA).

I have tested against monsters, and Ice will kill a monster in about 4 arrows, while FA takes 13+. Just now it took 3 ice arrows to kill a sand leaper, and almost 20 FA's to kill one.

Has anyone maxed either skill? Is FA worth it in 1.07, and if not, is Ice Arrow? Ice Arrow's freeze length does go up with level, while FA's stays constant. Thanks to anyone that has tried this. If not, I guess I will rush a zon and test it real quick to see which is better before I invest.

Noone really uses those skills in 1.07 - LF is the king for an elemental zon (it carries all your weapon damage and CB as well - killing lightning immunes is not a problem with decent gear), bowies can do quite well too thanks to CB having no penalties for ranged weapons (as well as ignoring Physical Resistance of monsters).

But as for FA and IA - maybe someone knows better?

Hey guys, with regards to the 1.07 Blood Raven Guide , has anyone noticed a pattern on GC? I have had 3 GC drop from her now and ALL have been skillers! It may just be pure luck but still.. If MF can force Sets/Uniques I thought it may well be able to force skillers as well. Anyone have any input on this?

It seems very unlikely- all charms are magic and MF won't have any effect on that. I think you were just very fortunate!

Haha, OK, thanks for clearing that up. One was a warcry skiller actually and another a Fletchers w/ 7% run/walk on it. Not too shabby actually. The more I play .07 the more intrigued I get by it.. Might be in for the long haul - who knows...

By the way, has anyone ever tried imbuing a crafted ring? I have been saving up for some lesser & higher blood ring/gloves crafting. Very interested to know the results.

Nermind: I am maxing Light Fury, I just wanted a backup cold attack that would do damage based on skills, not my physical damage. My barb had a rough time in hell, and he only really made it due to the huge amount of ED berserk has. Since no zon skill really adds a lot of ED I was hoping to get dual elemental damage from skills alone.

As for the skillers, nice. I have found one skiller out of a zillion gc's that have dropped in Act 3 NM and beyond. Could it be due to the seed not changing? That would really only explain a lot of gc's dropping, not what they roll but who knows. And btw, 1.09 and previous gc's had 14 or 15% frw (I thought, I know small was 5% and large was 8%).

Edit: No way, I just put a small charm and grand charm of inertia on a character in 1.07, and then opened them in 1.09 and they said 3% and 7% respectively. What is with that? Was it just 1.09 that had the 5% small?

I have been doing some cowing in 1.09, and indeed I have found a 7% frw grand charm. What a rip, lol.

In the other 1.07 thread, a good question came up that I don't know the answer to, so I will repeat it here.

Can you gamble a windforce?

My first 1.07 character (FO sorc) is currently at lvl26. I am wondering what levels I should expect to be at for the various portions of the game. I can do Travincal runs without batting an eye (that's how I earned the last two levels -- and a fair amount of gems, gold, etc.), but I'm toast when I try to clear the Chaos Sanctuary.

If I "should" be in Act 5 by now, I'll just be more patient in the CS and get it done. If folks don't usually kill Diablo until lvl30 or something, I'll stick with Travincal or RoF until I get there.

And what level should I shoot for before NM and Hell?

@jdkerr - Welcome back in time! I am yet to pat a 1.07 char so I might not be the best to answer this but my Sorc is currently lvl 66 in A2 Hell. For me it wasn't so much the level but skill allocation and gear that kept me back. I wanted to get as much in teleport and Orb+CM before entering NM personally, waited until about 47-48 (having saved up points to be able to do CM+Orb every level). I stayed in NM for ages running Cows/Meph/Baal/area uniques to get some gear.

Furthermore, you will find that some areas in 1.07 are MUCH more difficult than others, CS is one of them! Lord de Seis was a bit of a nightmare for me, whereas Diablo himself was a lot easier!

I doubt this made things any easier for you so I will just go ahead an put some numbers to it; 40+ for NM and 60+ for Hell for "smooth" trips. But I know people who have pushed through on much lower levels, just teleporting themselves through hell basically, thats not how I play personally but it is doable definetly. Remeber that there is no level cap on ancients either, so they boost you up quite a few levels!

jdkerr - The great thing about playing single player is you never have to feel rushed about what level you are. If you think you need to level up, feel free to do so. Personally, my last barb (Nilky) was level 24 beating Diablo, 26 beating ancients (boosted to level 29), etc. You can look up my pat thread for more details, I tried to keep as much of that stuff written down as I could.

I don't have the exact levels for my sorc, but they are around there.

You don't have to tele through anything in 1.07, cold can kill all. I believe my normal adventure centered on using static field like crazy and letting my mercs get the kill. Shop yourself something with prevent monster heal that you can give to your merc.

I cleared the CS patiently. Diablo went down easily. I bounced around between Travincal, Shenk, and Pindle (I tele'd to get the portal, dying about three times trying to rescue Anya) until lvl29, then did the Ancients. I tele'd around the WSK until I rolled a good map, then cleared the minions about three times (I thought it would be a good XP source).

Baal bit the big one (that was a crazy battle), and I did two or three cow runs. I am very pleased to have FO now. I can actually kill things, rather than simply static. :-P

Anyways, the real reason I am posting is that I committed my entire sapphire collection to some predictable crafting. I got some MPK rings, and one had a second mod... but it was the wrong second mod. The first one showed up after only two or three attempts; the other two showed up about twenty attempts later (almost back-to-back, incidentally). After that, I ran out of supplies and gave up in disappointment. I'll try again once I collect more sapphires, but it will be a while before I spend time running good gem targets like I did earlier.

Guys, does anyone have the link to the page/document with all the 1.07 uniques? I can't seem to find it..

Also, has anyone tried rabies in 1.07? I was considering it as a back-up or even main next druid. Since I found Jalal's I really want to put it to use so a warewolf seems like a good call :)
