And her I am getting tested for ADH and ASD, apparently playing Last Epoch would be enough to be certain of at least one of them.

It's good to see so many familiar names. And not in the way people say that to mean "look it is people I should acknowledge knowing", but actually good. Except Noodle, that guy scares me.

Round of Dews all around, barkeep, we need to lift spirits. Wife flew up to D.C. today for a legal conference and not only did the airline lose her luggage, the hotel "couldn't find" her reservation for a solid half hour. I'm attempting good husbanding from afar but it really sucks when I can't do anything meaningful to help.

@Jcakes The kids, my wife and I made 2 of your brethren yesterday and a bunch of small cousins to go with them.
They are celebrating their 9th birthday tomorrow at school so they had to have cake.
Crazy to think they are now 9. I still remember you giving us updates when they were born!

*casts lvl 6 revive*

My ascending aorta is about 50% larger than it should be and growing. Doc says surgery is probably the only route to fix it, just waiting for it to hit target size. As to what is causing it, still no answer. A sweet, sweet Dew will help.

*leaves root beer float just in case*

Thanks for the root beer float! Here, have a dew.

I have another doctor appt. this week myself. Breathing/coughing issue instead of aorta issue, but still...

I wasn't expecting to retire for another ten years, but my wife and I met with our financial advisor. She ran 1,000 different scenarios based on good and bad historical scenarios, and concluded that we'd have a 99% chance of till having assets left at age 95 in 981 out of the 1,000. 100% is impossible, so it really didn't make sense to keep working unless we were passionate about what we do for work.

We both liked our jobs, but not as much as we like not working. She's 47 and will retire at the end of March 2025. We have some travel planned - Cancun in June, little league world series in Pennsylvania in August, looking at Ireland next Fall.

@Noodle Welcome to the club youngster! Ireland is beautiful about anytime of the year. Spring and Fall are best in my opinion as there are fewer tourists. Just go before mid October as many activities shut down in the last half of October.

Man, you guys are old. This flapjack will turn a sprightly 33 this year. However, I do have the body of an 80 year old, if that counts.

Killing for fun just hits differently than killing for profit. You don't have to be all corporate about it; rather you can take your time, get creative, really savor the whole experience.
