It'll help when we do our prac of titrating monoprotic HCl with diprotic Na2CO3. I think it'll help with the 2:1 ratio of the titration.

But I teach vocational chemistry, it's not high up in importance for lab techs working in industry.

I don't know why it wouldn't be. But I was also taught this in gr 11 chem, and think it should be taught immediately following moles.

I think it may be important for industry, especially for big batch chemistry. You'd want to know what's in excess and how much you need...

Organic chemistry is no longer considered important for middle level certificates, even those in food science.
