Decided. I'm making a ghost.!

Would you say

+3 Lit Sentry Greater Talons
+2 Phoenix Strike, +1 Venom, +2 Fade Greater Talons
+1AR, +3 Venom Greater Talons

any two of these would make good fury or chaos?

Of all my years in d2, sins are the most unexperienced char of mine.

If I had to choose from those claws, I would use the 2nd and the 3rd. +LS is near useless on a Ghost. Good choice on build. Ghosts are fun YO! Moreso than Hybrids, but many will disagree with me. :azn:

Ghost aren't really good pub duelers, by the way.

Ideally, you should have +MB/+Fade/+Venom, but the claws aren't bad at all. Even if you don't have +Venom/+Fade on claws, you can still get some benefit by casting on BO side for +2-3 skills.

no, they are quite nice actually. the +3 venom GT's in particular. the +3 LS GT's should fetch a decent amount in trade seeing as your making a ghost not a hybrid.

should I shop for claws?

shopping, gambling and imbueing can all net you a nice claw.

be warned however, in my experience, charsi is a cow who can screw up royally as in these cases.....

gosu staffmods, 2sox, no fools....

another, less obvious, method to score a nice claw is to use the 3chip/flawless-gem recipe with blue runic talons. with the base qlvl on runics, you have a shot at fools/40ias, 2sox and with some luck, maybe even a nice staffmod or two.

Fairly tight. It's not very hard once you get the hang of it. Barb whirls are harder to do. Ghosts whirl slow. :O

finishing up my ghost atm. i just had one concern, do i build in the dex from the raven?? i was thinking, if i didnt count the 20 dex from raven and invested 20 hard points into dex i would be able to wear a wisp or dwarf for sorb without losing any fcr from belt(tgods). but then again the only chars where i would need sorb is against hard hitting foh'ers and fc zons and losing some fcr wouldnt be all that bad.thoughts?

you can swap your maras/hl for a 2sin/fcr ammy and then swap the fcr ring for your dwarf/wisp. the ravenfrost should basically be static.

I have a similar question. I have a nice 10 fcr ring with 20 strength, 85 ar, mana, res ect, and also a 20 dex raven frost. Using this along with my other gear I can use shadow dancers and runic talons with BASE str and dex. thats right, dancers with base str. The problem here is that my rings cant be swapped out. If however I use Gts instead of runics, I can swap out the raven for a different ring vs other chars. Undecided on that part. Im pretty set on putting every last stat point into vit, but is that stubbornness going to hurt me if I cant swap out any rings?

On a side note, I know you recommend rare boots or treks, but on ladder it is pretty hard to find rares better than treks, (maybe I havent looked hard enough) and i really think that dancers are better than treks when you can use them with base str. The 10 more fhr means 1 less fhr charm, meaning 40ish more life; the mass dex allows for base dex, resulting in even more life, and of course +2 shadow skils is nice, as I'm venom oriented. (Ever try getting enough 3/20/20s on ladder to fill up 2 characters inventories? would be nice but i dont see it happening and my zon get first dibs ) Thanks for posting a great guide.

Is this build still doable with less fcr ? like 27% from trang + arach or 42% if I get my hands on a decent ring
How does it handle in pve?
I'm kinda worried about getting max res and 9 fpa traps at the same time .
I'll probably be using feral fury/chaos ss , highlords and umed shako

27fcr ghosts are good but 0 fcr is the best because then you get more wwdmg because damage is everything. Speed, stunlocking, and skill don't matter on ghost just hold down ww and you win.

I think 42 is playable but annoying (I use 42 on my tgods switch), but below that you can't really do much.

I think 65 is too slow. I really like 102 on sins. Any lower is hard to play for me (i'm very offensive)
