WW Ghost Assassin Guide V2.0

hey, its a great guide, just one question though. maybe i passed over the answer in the guide but is your sin physical or venom oriented? which one do you think is better?

both types are good in different situations. you won't feel weak with a properly built ghost of either type, though its much easier to be under-equipped with a physical build. i prefer a physical ghost because i have the gear to support it (and i duel in NM), but there's no doubt a venom sin would work just the same.

like i've said before, the differences in the damage composition aren't as big as the nomenclature suggests.

P.S. hopefully aman will get to the guide edits i sent him. the next update has some pretty big changes/additions and should help explain a lot of things.

i also noticed that you use ebug claws. are regular runics or gts viable with this build? is the damage difference a big deal?

Ebug claws with a physical sin is a HUGE bonus. If you can't get a claw that has around 200+ damage, a venom sin is the better way to go.

like derek said, the damage increase is pretty significant, especially because i chose to emphasize my physical damage. if i were using a venom build, it wouldn't be as important, but the damage would definitely still increase.

if you're using a physical build, although the example setup doesn't say it, you should be WSM bugging, to make best use of your build. you can easily get 200+ damage on your chaos claw if you use a suwayyah or some other base 0 WSM claw, but you'll need to WSM bug in order to hit your trap bps. WSM bugging with a feral claw and a suwayyah, for example, will give you the same AWSM as using 2 runics, but it'll give you a huge damage increase.

so why does everyone say use runics instead of a suwayyah and a feral if you can just bug them? it takes 1 sec. every type of sin can benefit from more damage, right?

its mostly because most people don't understand wsm bugging. theres no doubt that the suwayyah/feral combo is better if you don't mind taking that second to bug.

i saw on another forum where you were debating with nofx about coa/ammy vs circ/hl and he put up some ss where he tried out both set ups and he had 6k ww dmg with chaos. how the f did he get that? i can only get around 4k with the same setup that he said he was using in his post. also, do you think that its harder going the coa route because you have to find a pretty good amulet and ring with great mods to make it all work?

he was known on jsp for calculating with open characters and making them incorrectly, often resulting in gross overestimations of stats, but i never took the time to look into it. if you have 4k ww, you're doing just fine. thats about right for a properly built sin.

i don't think coa is a good option for a ghost, since you already get all the dr you need from fade. actually, trae (nofx) posted a guide up a few months later on d2jsp that used the circlet/HL setup that he was arguing against. i'll let you decide what that means.

do you think there is a happy medium between the 2 build variations? like 4 or 5 shadow skillers and rest 32020 or is it all or nothing? what exactly do you use?

of course you can mix it up and imo that's what you should do.

shadowsks dont only increase your venom lvl, also your physical dmg, ar, mb lvl, sm lvl, clawblock %, fade level etc.

Hm, do you perm your ebug claws after each game? I happened across someone on jsp that has a suwayyah and Im wondering how likely it is to poof on me.
