Wahoo, I have gotten my first ever Conquerer:grin:, and with an Enhantress, never would of guessed that. Yes I have finished off Act V. Wasn't too bad besides all the Spine Shooting guys, had to watch out for those. I had several NDE's any of which could have ending her life, but I got lucky I guess. I finished the NM, completely, including with full clears including Nilly all at players 5-8 (Had to bump it down for Lister and his buddies but that about it). The only thing that I think is going to be a problem in Hell is the fire immunes, they take awhile to take down I just have to count one my mercs physical damage.

Had a couple of good finds my best being a Pul Rune from a random jar in the Glacial Trail; and the completion of Sigon's Gloves, Belt, and Boots. Sadly I did end of going with an Act V merc, I bought him right after I beat Baal, and I am not to impressed. I am hoping it he because he is about 10 lvl's lower than me. His life and defense is half of what my Act II prayer merc's was. O well, I just hope he gets alittle stronger. Until next time....

Great going, bladejj:thumbsup:

I got into a bit of a scrape with Duriel and came out distinctly second-best. The merc hit Duriel far more often than I did, so I kept him alive with full rejuves. Problem was, I ran out of pink pots before I ran out of Duriel. Round two coming up!

Only really scary moment was with the Smith (extra strong, cursed) One hit and 3/4th of my life was gone. Thankfully, he went down in two hits.

Small update... finished act 3.Duriel took many, many potions. Not sure what I'm doing wrong :sad2: Act 3 was a cinch. With teleport-and-retreat, even dolls weren't a problem. I discovered that Meph has a ranged attack

and that it's quite powerful, so I tanked him. He kept spamming poison, which at 95% resistance did not even dent my life bulb.

Only interesting drop in act 3 was a rare 1-h axe with +942 AR (based on clvl) With the enchant bonus, my AR is 5000+ I don't need that much attack rating right now, so it's stashed away.

Well, a couple minor upgrades to gear (2xTal long bow, Stealth armor, and Arctic belt) and three levels of Enchant. I'm one Tal or Ral rune away from a Leaf staff, which will help a little as well... but so far, the Enchant damage is negligible. It's still very slow work on players 7, but I imagine that will change... by level 30, if nothing else.

Ive been playing carelessly lately, lost my chantress while rerunning for gear and lost my blizz sorc while trying to tele past a lot of CI's. I needz a new mf'er. If I keep this up Im gonna go SC again real soon.

I was thinking about joining this tourney but I already have quite a set of enchantresses- HC and SC, melee and ranged. I don't particularly feel like starting yet another one again from scratch, though. Ever since reading MongoJerry's guide, I have been a big fan of Enchantresses, both on SP and on the realms.

I realized, though, that don't have any in SC Classic. May I join with a Classic character? I think it will be a significant disadvantage- for example, the mercenary can't be nearly as useful in Classic.

i started my sorc and she is just about to face andariel, but haven't assigned any skill points yet, (nothing was useful so far, didn't want to boost warmth before deciding what to do).

I know I'm really late to answer this, but I haven't seen anyone else comment on it. My current SC Enchantress uses ES, and this is the order I used:

I put one point in every skill I would eventually get as they came up. Until level 18, all other points went into Warmth. Then I maxed Enchant. At 24, one point goes into ES. At 30, a point goes into Fire Mastery. Then I maxed Telekenesis. Then Fire Mastery. Finally, ES. That worked pretty well.

Each point in Telekenesis reduced your mana damage by 6.25%. With no points in TK, ES causes you to take 200% damage to your mana. So, with TK maxed, each attack only does 75% of its damage to your mana. So, as you can see, TK is very important to ES. There should be a guide in the Strategy Compendium describing in more detail how ES works.

Your eventual goal will for pre-buffing would be a +3 Enchant Memory staff. You can actually shop a white gnarled or battle staff from Normal Drognan with +3 fire mastery and take it to Larzuk (or take your chances in the cube recipe) for 4 sockets. Untwinked, I wouldn't even dream of one of those pretty +3 Enchant, +3 Energy Shield, +3 Fire Mastery staves. :grin: The staff my SC enchantress uses for prebuff is just a +3 Enchant Memory staff. It works fine. ES starts hitting diminishing returns after level 10 or so, so there isn't really any rush to get it maxed out.

You are not late at all, i haven't played with this tourney char for a while and she is still just about to face andariel with no skill assigned to anything.

Since you were kind enough to answer my question, i can exploit this kindness of yours and ask another question (i hope)

How do you distribute the stat points between vitality & energy. i don't think it matters much for an enchantress with max warmth but is ES good enough to keep you alive even with base vit. I will most likely fix my vita at 70 (or 100) and then dumb the rest into energy. You think this is safe enough?

I tried to keep my life just above the mana. There are enough mana burn critters in the game to make a decent life pool necesssary, in my opinion. I spend more points in vitality early on until telekesis was high enough to make ES relatively stable. I should also point out that I am using an Insight staff, with allows her to have a good ES without a ton of mana. Her only real problem so far has been mana burners (I teleport back to safety and recast ES. You also get better at hitting the blue potions to keep ES going around mana burners.)

The fun thing about the build it you can tank Fanatasism Extra Strong Cursed packs. Just watch out for the mana burn fallen. :grin:

spent quite a while shopping Drognan for a staff, but finally found one that had +3 enchant, 2 sockets and that I could afford. Damn things get expensive, don't they ?!? Then did however many countess runs it took to get the ral. Needless to say, it makes a big difference, to both my char and the merc. Just need to get the resists up a bit now ...

Got to the River of Flame waypoint. Repeated RoF once for potions + exp and while doing so ran into a spectral hit, lightning enchanted conviction aura Hephasto. Hooray. Killed him, quite safely too, but it took a lot of teleporting.

Questions:
1. I need more full rejuvs. Where can I find them? Methinks unique hunting would be the quickest way. Kurast clears, Tristram, maybe normal Pindle or Eldritch.

2. When is the earliest I can get 6-socket bows? Best places to search?

Cube them. You need a regular (medium-sized) gem (and 3x healing and 3x mana, any sizes) to make a full rejuve, or you can burn chippies to make smaller rejuves (chipped gem + 3 healing, +3 mana, any sizes), then cube 3x rejuve to full rejuve.

Small rejuves drop quite often, cube all of them you find. That usually leaves me with more full rejuves than I need. I usually even make a decent profit (750 gold for each) by selling full juvies once I have a good supply.

You need to find a non-magical Long Battle Bow or a Long War Bow (or their exceptional counterparts) in the latter half of act 1 NM and beyond. The item level needs to be 41 or more (Outer Cloister is the first place where all monster from there and onwards will guarantee this). Then you need either a Larzuk reward (guaranteed 6 sockets, and can be done with low quality or superior bows) or try the weapon socketing recipe (1/6 chance of 6 sockets, must be a standard non-magical bow).

6-socketed items can also drop, but only on Hell difficulty.

Dead at 60 to Diablo's lightning. I'm playing softcore, so I continued and defeated Diablo. I'm pretty pleased with myself for having come this far without dying with a no-block no-energy shield character. I'm hoping to mat this character some day, it's a fun build.

Chaos Sanctuary wasn't as difficult as I'd imagined. Between my lightning damage and the merc's physical, we could take down the FI doom knights. De Seis' pack had to be broken up as the merc was suffering one-hit deaths from the fanaticism. The Infector had a might aura, so his pack had to be split up as well.

Good luck to those still alive :thumbsup: I'll be following your updates. Thanks to QuickDeath for hosting the tournament.
