As for bosses - D took about an hour just like i said, because i had to kill him alone (didnt manage to craft a blood belt before fighting him, that would most likely have helped a lot), but Meph was much much faster, because Elly who is 90% of my damage could help me.

sorry, must of missed you mentioning how long D took. Act 5 is going to be interesting for you due to frenzytaurs, ancients (if you beat them i will be like :crazyeyes: although you seem to know what you are doing and have decent tactics) and baal.

DEEDS

Well I guess even great (lucky!) gear can fail sometimes. I got taken down by a double boss pack near the inner cloister. Might aura devil kin and ES/cursed thorn beasts = one dead StormBolter

she had a great run and I'm rather proud of the accomplishment; even if I did have teleport :cloud9:. What a pity though, I was hoping to Guardian her so I could take that those Runes + RW's off her.

I'll post a gear/stat breakdown if anyone is interested. Otherwise I'm now contemplating my second entry for this tourney. Cheers n' good luck to all still alive!

She found a lot of really nice stuff throughout all the acts. Best finds in my eyes were the Tals Amy, RazorTail, and HoZ. Can't forget all the nice rune drops to make a perfect Spirit and the sweet insight. Storm_bolter was my first attempt at any kind of Lightning Based sorceress. I've always stuck to fire and ice in the past and this was very interesting to try. I really fell in love with the lightning based attacks towards the end of normal once my mana pool could keep up. It is a very fast and mobile play style. Often times I would herd the monsters into lines so lightning would be more effective; at least before chain lightning made it all "easy mode". *tear* Its sad to see her go out like that. I figured I'd get past Andy at the very least :crazyeyes:

I'm entering another character. I'm thinking of either a Shiftshape Druid, Combat Paladin, or .... well .... I'll post again once I think of something. I get to watch the cameras all night so I've got nothing better to do right?

OK, i am retiring Thundara! she is not very fun, i have a mat that is a light sorc, and i don't feel like playing another light sorc! so i am rolling again and this time i am sticking with it! lol i still think this is the best tourney in SP! but i got an Offensive Aura Pally, so that is what i am making, i am just gonna delete Thundara, if anyone updates the List, just take Thundara off, she didn't die, and she actually made it to act 3, but i don't feel like playing her anymore!

Thanks, and hopefully this pally will be better, even though it is just offensive auras... and again after i beat act 1 i will update!

ginNtonic - Nice stuff you had there! I got jealous when i saw the p. spirit + tal ammy:crazyeyes:. Btw, I needed that hoz for my pally in the fighter/mage tourny lol.

It's funny how the game kept giving you +15 life scs as though it was trying to tell you something.....:scratchchin:

I think I'm not going to get as far as you in hell due to the fact that i never really been in hell with an untwinked character so i'm not sure how bad it's going to be. I've done normal + most of nightmare tons untwinked (which i guess is why I'm still alive lol) but i usually stop playing in the end of act 3 nightmare area (act3 = most boring act).

I want to try a melee this time around and I've decided to use a barbarian. Originally I was going to try a singer from the word go, but I decided to try and get some extra bonus points since I already lost some by picking my class. Luck was on my side with a roll of 3 from random.org. No singer build, but at least I get a bonus for not rolling a 2 and being forced to pick my tree due to Combat mastery tree seeming impossible under these rules. Major major kudos to anyone who gets a CM barb through NM. Scratch that; kudos for having the patience to do it :thumbup:

So anyways... my next attempt will be a Combat Skills Barbarian. We will be using RWM/RRM again though I doubt Wildarms will have nearly as much luck as storm did with rune drops :crazyeyes:. Not sure if I'm going to base him around doubleswing/frenzy or concentrate/bash; I'm sure I'll pick berserk up regardless due to PI's.

Hes only level 9 but has had fun picking up any weapon and using it; opposed to standard barbarians that concentrate on one type of weapon. that is why he is Wild! ... arms! Yarr!

I`ll enter with a new char as well. Vibeke, my bowazon, aren`t really that interesting. I might play her a little bit in the future if I ever find her fun again.

As i just lost my barb in the heptad team tourney, it makes sense to try another one. Unfotunately random.org rolled me a 2, and that is quite horrible. But I`ll actually try the masteries barb, although I guess normal Diablo will be the end of that journey.

I`ll update the table with Boadicea, the masteries barb, and retire Vibeke when Andy is (hopefully) down.

Edit: I will be using RWM and skills from other trees, so no other bonus than the random skill tree.

Finally time for me to re-enter. rolled a lightning sorc but since Im playing a CL/FO sorc already I decided to make a fire sorc instead. Will be my first single element sorc, I dont like leaving mobs but hopefully I can get decent gear for my merc to take care of immunes. Will also be hard without static field/teleport, but should be easier than MA assassin was. Leonah is created and slayed all monster is the blood moor and the den. Khali was named after my first Assassin and Leonah is named after my first Sorc. Her first two random points went to warmth and blaze, and the rest of the point went to fire bolt. I dont really care about points and Ive become kinda addicted to insight with my CL/FO sorc so I will use ladder rw if the right runes comes my way.

I'll rejoin now that my exams are over. I rolled a summoning necro.. a good build but I would've preferred a different class. Oh well. I've already started and Dunham is at the Stony Field waypoint. He'll most likely end up being a skellies/revives summoner with some kind of a golem. I'm using RRM/RWM and allow myself other skill-tab skills, so just the bonus for the random class.

I gambled a nice circlet as well, +1 to offensive auras, +10-35 Fire Dmg and some +str which is helping. I will try to get Baal dead by tonight, but there are a lot of caves and things in Act 5 and i like to clear it completely for the exp!

Interesting... Did you know that the random number assigned to Sorceress in this tournament is 7? Very peculiar indeed! 777 mark of the deedS!!
Wildarms is almost to the catacombs. I'll post a full table update once I kill andy, but man it has been sooo long since I've played a melee character. Hopefully it stays interesting enough for me. For now its fun steam rolling everything haha. Hopefully my Cskill damage will be enough to counteract no Masteries. I suppose if a O.aura pally can kill diablo I've no reason not to get at least that far :thumbup:

ps: congrats on the progress all. I want to see someone beat Storm's score!

"Sleep can wait" i thought- "but Baal must die!" So no sleep last night lol and as a result: boom! And YAY - first boss-drop with a unique (maybe having 1666 hitpoints helps with that more than mf %?^.^ i even forgot to switch back to my mf boots and gloves

)
Once again my biggest enemy was...time!(i expect this to finally change in Nightmare, and not because ill start to kill faster ^.^) Despite the slow progress i really enjoyed the act - lots of exp (13(!) level-ups after only 2 in act 4) and S/U (11 sets and 10 uniques including cows if my statistics are right, which is probably more than in all previous acts together).
Finds that made my day(night):
-nagel (17% but still...)
-goblin toe (yay! maybe it wont take an hour if i ever meet Diablo again

)
- my first unique bow! - one of those frozen creep champions on the Ancients Way was so kind to me - after that Elly pwns p8 ancients, wsk & Baal -wt$? i had already used to her slow killing (even with and OrtOrtOrt Razor bow)....(this saves me hours of powershopping in Nightmare, which is also good, definitely the best find so far, got socketed (now wheres that Shael?) and personalized in the process of burning all Normal quest rewards before moving to Nightmare).
As for "The Big Fight" - Baal just seemed too easy after Diablo who was killing Elly in 2 seconds - she could tank "both Baals" easily with some rare rejuvs, so the fight was once again a matter of time (i think my hp never dropped under ~1200).
