Good work guys.. too bad about the death there. It is proven again.. slow work yields better results here in HC land.
Anyway, I pushed Fiaan quite hard today because I won't have any time over the weekend to make any progress. I started out in Act 2 having beaten Andariel the last time. I already had the cube but I needed the staff. No worries there, with a little help from a Stealth armor (seems fitting on an elf huh?) I got a nice run-rate and Act 2 became easier. Even moreso when I was looking trough my stash and cubed up my runes (running the countess for an Eth for Stealth) and came to an Ort.... Yay, Zephyr longbow! Another 25 FRW. And very nice other stats. Getting to level 24 before Duriel was mandatory (as usual), so I ran a couple of false tombs. After those Duriel died quite fast to the Mighty Immolation arrow.
Big ''Ow'' moment there though.. Immolation Arrow has a timer, forgot about that :undecided:
Anyway, I decided to stick with it but also began putting points in Guided arrow because I noticed the fire arrows don't leech well. Currently I decided on resists instead of leech and it's working alright.
Act 3 was quite easy, got lost only once in the woods, but pushed on fast enough. Took me about and hour and a half to get to Mephisto who was conquered using the moat-trick... it works with arrows too :smiley: Ran him a couple of times, but got nothing usefull.. gave up on it as a bad job.
Dispite me getting a bit bored I also played trough act 4. It was a bit hard and I screwed the player setting down to 3 to keep a decent play rate going. My merc's prayer proved very usefull and my immolation arrow proved very mana intensive. It's dealing enough damage to get trough, but I wish it leeched as well.. it's ok though, I'm drinking pots now to compensate untill I can use GA to leech back. I learned from my recent death against Diablo though, the Ventaur pack was parked by a tp and lured into death later on and Diablo was taken ~very~ slowely. I had leveled untill 30 and the Valk proved nice enough.. he ignored my merc as usuall (but killing him with his attacks all the same) but seemed attracted to my valk which gave me a couple of seconds of free shooting each time. Anyway, he dropped a Darkglow and a Soulflay. Thinking about getting a barb-merc, but the damage is lower then the pike my current merc is using... The armor is nice though, not particulary usefull, but nice.
Got to level 33 by killing shenk a couple of times. 33 to get pierce to level 4 and get a 49% chance to shoot my arrows trough my enemies... the fire trail if I shoot an immolation arrow trough 2 or 3 foes is great !

I got Dahkar the Fire Sorceror through andarial last night, it's been going fast, fissure owns pretty much everything.

Dahkar, Lvl 20, last seen in Lut Gholein.

Like I said, I was used to SC, and this was my first HC char...

Next time... I will definitely go MUCH slower...

Sathien Greenleaf has two bows. One is a 3 socketed long bow with a few gem chips in it. The other is a stag bow. She had never owned one of those before, but found it in the desert before going into the Viper Temple. Both bows served her well in her battle with Duriel (at P8). The merc did well too. He never died, though they did have to go back to town a couple times to get more potions. Now they have moved on to Kurast in search of the demons that they hope will lead them to Baal and the lost ring.

Reached lvl 24, and now have Frenzy and BO available, it makes quite a difference :smiley: I'm still trying to figure out where to get good weapons from, I'm currently using dual Military Pick 'Steel's'. I checked the AS crafting recipes, does the Blood Weapon recipe apply to all axes or just Axes/Cleavers/Small Crescents?

My first kicker and my first HC character and things are going OK so far. We'll see how Andy treats me. Just so I'm clear, the restrictions on the Hobbit (aka Assassin) are
- no traps
- no shield
- only kicks and DClaw from the Martial Arts tree
- anything from the Shadow Disciplines tree

You missed one: No Dragon Tail either (it was no elemental martial arts and Dtail is fire).

Drebo has successfully slain Andariel (several times), and yet has not found the One Ring yet (loving the Kicker btw, but we'll see how Drebo is in act 4).

Just finished ACT II... pretty uneventful. Milar is my 1st Summoner Druid with elemental support (Fissure/Volcano) and I'm impressed with his ability against groups. Found a Unique Shadowfang 2-H sword and a Unique Snakecord Light Belt while going through the Palace.

Duriel gave me some trouble... had to resummon my minions/spam spells until I ran out of rejuves/mana, restocked in town, and repeated until finished. Dropped a low level rune and one rare axe (which I sold), and a small charm (cold resist). Later tonight, plan on sending Mephisto back to Hell where he belongs.
 
I figured I should get off the bottom :azn:, so Fiwen has begun her journey. Nothing noteworthy, she finds herself in the Stony Field.

Belated RIP Aerwynd. :cry: You really did attack your 1st HC tourney with gusto!

Drebo the Hobbit was also slain today in his quest for the ring. After slaying Duriel, Drebo was feeling quite good about himself, so decided to begin Act 3 with /players 8 to gain some much needed experience. Drebo charged headlong into a lightning enhanced pack, Fade stopped and Drebo's adventure ended.
