Out of curiosity, what exactly does one feed a Mecha Tama-chan? Oil-coated worms?

Well its still a Turtle, just all cyberneticky and stuff.
So you'd feed it normally, you know veggies n stuff. More veggies than other things, like meat, thats so it doesn't take out it's bloodlust on you from eating too much meat. You just have to keep the machine parts maintained, so its more work than taking care of a normal turtle.

So it's like a turtle cyborg? Turtle guts with machine enhancements? Was it born a turtle and then equipped with machine parts or built a robot and then fitted with turtle parts?

In fact it was Ash's turtle, the way I remember it.
Wayyy back when, in one of the old comm ots, before I rode a killer turtle, I had a superbike. I was trying to get away from someone or something, on my bike, but then Ash, trying to be clever, replaced my bike with a turtle, the slowest animal he could think of. Well I sure showed him, by butchering and rebuilding the turtle as Mecha Tama-chan. I think there was a post where he actually cried and called me a turtle killer, I dunno, I can't really remember where.
