For real, she was one of the reasons why I got so interested in creative writing again!

Yeah, Sorceress Zahra was a pretty strong writer, from what I saw of her over in the Fan Fiction Forum. She still has an incomplete story over there...whatever happened to her, anyway?

Sorceress Zahra? I remember her. Pretty cool posts in the RPT. I wonder what happened to her. IIRC, she PM'ed Kyubi about her abscence, but that was a long time ago.

She mentioned some health problems that needed to be tended to, but that she intended to come back. :sad2:

She had also had a couple of pretty negative experiences in the OTF/SPF not long before she left - I hope that didn't contribute to her not returning. I spent some time trying to help her feel better about it and she seemed responsive, but who knows.

For the very short time she was here, she was a positive-minded and thoughtful person who contributed something to the community. It's hard to forget people like that.

I think someone called her fat in the OTF, but in a joking way. I think she took whoever said it seriously though.

It's like this one time I corrected this guy and he made a comment about me being on... errr... what's a pretty word for it... "my monthly".

That's what I remember, more or less. I'm just hoping her surgery didn't go badly, though, because with the unfinished story and the RPT, there were definite signs that she planned on sticking around.

And no, the poster didn't get the business end of the modstick, to adapt one of Zahra's phrasings; people have gotten away with much worse than a badly received joke in there.

I was TOTALLY in the RPT long term, but the other writers just kind of drifted off, and I started losing interest.

IIRC, She ended up with a bugged strength charm through some ATMA error, brought it up in the SPF and got ganged up on by the entire bloody board. She was new to both D2 and the SPF and had no idea she would get the type of reaction that she did.

In the OTF, somebody started picking on her about being fat or ugly or some other rot. She almost left on account of that.
