SPF Technical Support Thread

Heya guys and girls!

Coming back from a long time away from the game. I'm having troubles getting GoMule to work for me. When I open it, I can't find my character file in order to mule some items. I originally installed the game within program files but just uninstalled and did a fresh install outside of program files. Still no success. Using Windows 10, 1.14d Diablo 2.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this one to work?
 
@Cypher Aus Since the latest patch, the character save files aren't in the D2 folder anymore, so that might be your issue. Default path now is users\insert your name here\saved games\
 
I don't think RWM works with 1.14 on OSX due to the changes that were made to the game. Thus far, I have only been able to play D2 1.14 in vanilla mode. I have however managed to get PlugY to work on a Windows computer tho.
 
Gosh, it's nice to see this thread still going. Been a while since I checked in these parts ;)

p.s: I lost the password to my old Hakai_no_Tenshi account so I'm on this one for now
 
If I am looking to move files to another computer, which files should I be taking with me? Obviously, some of the things will not be related to any game change mods, but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I am thinking the GoMule stash (d2x) and the Diablo II Save folder (d2s, key, ma0-ma3 and map files). Are there any that I am missing? Also, are there any pitfalls that I should be aware of in terms of attempting to port my play experience to a new computer? I am planning on emailing myself these files. Thanks.
 
I think those are the only ones you need. I always backup the files to an usb stick, but emailing should work too.
 
Yea, USB stick would be ideal, but the computer housing these files encrypts all data saved to a USB, which can then only be opened by a computer with the same encryption software. The computer that I will eventually use these files would not have that software, so I am stuck with email. Thanks for the reply!
 
If it auto-encrypts things (I guess you have software for this?) can't you just decrypt it afterwards or temporarily disable it?

I could possibly decrypt it, but I am unable to use this same encryption software on a separate computer. Additionally, I am unable to disable the encryption software, as this is not my computer. Emailing files to myself will work around the encryption though, so I should be good to go.
 
i need help..go mule to work before one night i was drunk and accidently done a clean install...now i can't get it to load through java...i keep getting this error..help i was enjoying single player :(

Try running it from the command line, from the directory where Gomule is installed.

tried this...this is when i get the full error...double click just show black error screen real quick and its gone :(


will the new java have something to do with it?
