Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.
So Loz is it Mara's turn to be probed?:whistling:
No, I suggest we do no probing whatsoever and hope that the Mafia just decide to move on. :whistling:

Umm, care to elaborate on what this "very good reason" is? The rest of us would like to know!
Yes, I will. See below.

My usual concern is the usual one I have. Loz, if you're going to say "I have a suspicion, but I am not going to tell you right now", do you really think anyone is going to answer any of your questions?
Nothing personal intended, it just makes me want to slap myself with a trout.
If I want to know anything, its what you suspect? Keeping in mind that just about everyone is always wrong except by luck on day 1.
Zarni, I share your dislike for the idea of "I know something and won't tell you". Sometimes it's necessary. But see below.
I was quite suspicious of Gorny. Discounting the possibility of him being a PR, I believed that he failed to signal back to me something he should have been able to do, if he was what I thought he was. Just my luck, Gorny was a PR. I was playing percentages and lost.
I'm curious, what's the very good reason?
In a past game, as mafia, I considered not sending in a kill, but that game had unusual circumstances. We knew a roleblocker existed. We knew who was being blocked that night. I *think* the player being blocked was blocked previously, and during that night, no NK happened. It was, literally, a perfect frame setup. I can't imagine mafia knowing anything close to that amount of information N1 this game.
I too have played a game where I was mafia, but strategy dictated that I forego a NK. I had a Spanish accent that game
The point is that everyone (at the time I posted) who suggested that there was little or no chance that the mafia would choose not to send in a NK was over-looking the fact that in a game consisting of newcomers and experienced players, it is a valid tactic for a team of fully experienced mafia to mimic a newbie error, that of a new-to-mafia team failing to send in a NK PM.
As to why I shouldn't be lynched, I won't go any further unless I absolutely must. My top two suspects are lozhinge, with his almost eagerness to agree with sathoris about the gorny/asrrin/techno grouping and his "previous read" on Gorny, which he hasn't gone into detail yet. How has his playstyle differed from other games, Mr. Loz?

Mara, my read of Gorny was wrong,. but the percentages said to me that he was a good choice for a Day 1 lynch. Your actions subsequently made me suspicious of you.
My vote stays on Mara as I think he is the best bet for securing a lynch. My only other leaning is towards Technomancer.
As to why I was suspicious of Gorny, I cannot yet give full details but he appeared to signal me in response to my signal to him, but he then failed to follow up with confirmation that would have made me trust him. I took this as an attempt to falsely declare his status to me, which made me suspicious. That's as clear as I can be without giving too much info away.
