Thoughts:
19/30 sorceress skills maxed. Wow, I feel like I learned a lot from playing and matting this character.
I spent 62 skill points to fully synergize all three cold armor skills, and I'm rather happy with the results of that experiment! However, if I could go back in time a few months to give myself advice, I probably would not recommend fully synergized cold armors. I might instead suggest spending just 43 or 44 points in the cold tree to max the Shiver and Chilling armor skills, and leave Frozen Armor for some other sorceress build. My reasons:
Body armor is the most significant equipment slot for building up defense. A Prudence runeword in an etheral armor would have been a better choice for spectacular defense and better resistances, but I preferred to dress her up in a Stone runeword. Stone gives very good defense, very fast hit recovery, and my favorite: Clay Golem charges. Indeed, Lengby's equipment features a lot of fun spell charges:
I could have squeezed a little more fire damage out of the Enchant spell charges if I had put more spare points into Fire Mastery, but I judged that Static Field with a longer range was more effective, so I diverted skill points accordingly. Not only did maxed Warmth pack a lot of fire damage synergy into Enchant charges, it also let her recover mana quickly after teleporting. Even with depleted mana, she could teleport again if she could wait and stay alive for about three or four seconds. So I didn't even bother putting any blue potions in her belt; another column of healing potions sure made it easier for Lengby to to keep on fighting while getting hurt.
I had planned on putting a better armor on the mercenary in late Hell difficulty, but he survived so well with his gemmed "Artisan's" magic armor that I never noticed any need to dress him otherwise.

Once an armor skill is maxed, further synergy expenditures will not improve defense.)

The extra duration almost never mattered, because I would often switch between armors with situational re-casting, depending on whatever monsters Lengby was fighting -- Shiver Armor against melee attackers or Chilling Armor against ranged attackers. (Fully synergized, Lengby's Shiver Armor buffs last more than twelve-and-a-half minutes, and Chilling Armor lasts eleven minutes. An Enchant charge from the Demon Limb also lasts eleven minutes, so I concede that perhaps it was somewhat convenient to have comparable buff durations, reminding me to refresh her cold armor whenever she and her mercenary needed another Enchant.)

- Clay Golem (level 16, Stone) - used constantly from character level 54 onward.
- Molten Boulder (level 16, Stone) - seldom cast, but I did find them quite useful in certain maggot tunnels and durance doorways.
- Iron Golem (level 22, Metalgrid) - seldom cast, and quickly killed the few times I did try to use one
- Iron Maiden (level 11, Metalgrid) - seldom cast, but seemed to be a somewhat effective curse against Talic
