@Skjoldmose: That's the introduction to an opera sort of about Akhnaten, the Egyptian Pharoah who introduced monotheism and whatnot, written by Philip Glass in the early 1980s. Most people call it 'Classical,' some call it "new Music," but I prefer Orchestral or Contemporary Orchestral, but it doesn't really matter.
Check around on the interwebs and you're sure to find some more of his work. He wrote symphonies based on songs/themes from Low and "Heroes," and they're both pretty good. And his opera 'about' Einstein (Einstein on the Beach) is one of my favorite things ever.
