OT: The SPF Mafia Game Round Three

Sorry to say folks but I've recently lost internet at home for an indefinte length of time and there is absolutely no way possible for me to catch up with all the posts that occur in a day in my short break at work.

Skool: Feel free to replace me if you need to. I haven't read anything in the last... 20 or so pages so I'm at a loss as to what's going on.

Good luck townies!

Well there's that. It would've been a good cover if you hadn't said ''feel free to replace''.

Unvote Touch

Play the game as it was intended to be played? Winning is what this game is about and if you're a townie, you'll do it at all cost.

Vote : Jaago

p.s if he's not mafia, he's the VI going against the flow in hope of being lynched today...

What stunning reasoning. You're absolutely right, I should probably go and hang myself already.

It just fits here so much better...

Just to let you all know, I signed to this game because I thought it would be fun and intellectually stimulating; not to make routinely, predetermined votes from day to day.

Unvote: Moar, vote: GoHabsGo

Do I need other reasons?

Good night. I may not be able to post before the day ends, depending on how my schedule will shape up tomorrow.

Reminder : it's in fact a game. What is fun for one might be boring for another, nothing we can do about it. All you can control is yourself in this game.

Now from your reaction you're either a sour loser or a mafia member desperatly shooting back at people exposing him.

Actually I just suggested the vote mechanism the way I did to make it a little easier to focus on who is suspected and has a chance to be lynched (primarily for just the early stages as there is little evidence and a large number of votes required). It also wouldn't be a predetermined vote but more of a primary before the election. And I just put the idea out there didn't make it a law of the game. It just seems very much that everyone is spinning their wheels to no avail.

Since no one else has really spoken in favor of the idea I'll assume it's dead anyway.

I'm terribly sorry if my exceptionally heavy work load is inconveniencing you. We don't all have the luxury of sitting at home all day.

If you want my opinion: those who are screaming and shouting and generally posting heavily are most likely to be mafia. Throw enough smoke around and it'll hide the truth. The mis-direction in this thread makes Swindon's Magic Roundabout look like the example of clarity.

Go back and read the number of people pointing in half a dozen different directions. I've been consistant from the start, so why am I going to post six time a page saying the same thing? I changed my vote ONLY to ensure *someone* was lynched. Wasting lynching opportunities the way we have been basically means we might as well just hand the town over to the mafia.

Let's try this again ...

Vote Goltar

As he's high up in the possibles a few posts up, perhaps a few others will actually vote for him this time.

Thyiad, if this post were consistent, you'd be voting me for having 125+ posts in this thread, and would not have voted RK or Jaedhann, or you would have voted goltar the first day. You've not been consistent in your votes matching the people screaming and posting heavily.

Well, Thyiad has been consistent in two things. She's been dead set from the start to lynch someone every day, to the point of not even having a logical reason for it. She's also been after water_moon (and to some extent myself) from the first day.

Classic mafia tell. vote: skoolbus
goltar made this joke last night at home. You must both be masons!!

And um, the voting for "top 3" thing is wrong in sooooo many ways.

What about the cost of losing the game instantly by picking the VI?

You may just be blood thirsty or something more sinister, but you're defianly not on the up and up.
vote: gohabsgo

Not as many posts today. Wonder what the reason is?

Jaedhann isn't confirmed mason? Thanks for clarifying that, w_m. That's very good news.

Votes are scattered all over the place. Not a good sign. I think it's time I started throwing accusations about :)

xduckster: been acting a bit silly. Accused Sint of misrepresenting him. Possibly VI
Sir Lister of Smeg: I know he's been posting quite a bit, but nothing really stuck in my head until Rash's big post. Undecided, but a little more suspicious than before. Will be watching him a little more closely. But he was active on night 0, possibly townie
Jaago: mildly suspicious, mainly because I have a text file here where I've marked him SUSPICIOUS. In CAPS. Can't remember why for the love of my life. But that note was made on day 1, more than a week ago.
LORD NIKON: Was active on night 0. possibly townie.
RevenantsKnight: townie. Fairly confident about it.
Moar: night role, for sure. If Jae wasn't mafia, she definitely is.
muzzz: night role, based on Rash's comment about login time. I haven't actually verified it, mind you. Possibly mafia
Rashiminos: I think townie. Active on night 0.
Sint Nikolaas: townie. He's taking an awfully big chance if he's not. Active on night 0.
TouchOfInsanity: townie. He was on my suspicious list until he posted that he's withdrawing.
Cygnus: this guy's mafia, mark my words :wink3:
Thyiad: playing the VI accusing both goltar and w_m of being mafia. Not sure what her game is, but unlikely to be VI or mafia
skunkbelly: possibly mafia. He's done a splendid job of not attracting attention. But if he's townie, I want him alive till the very end as he's been playing very well. Quite possibly has RL experience with this game.
SiTro: nothing he's posted has stuck in my mind, which makes him mildly suspicious
GoHabsGo: ditto
goltar25: I think his I-think-w_m-has-a-role talk was a deliberate attempt to mislead. Possibly mafia.
Brak: active on night 0. Been posting quite a bit, but quieter than last round. Quite confident he's townie.
water_moon: townie, and sure of it. Active on night 0.
CDRToast: I think townie as he was arrested.

@Sint: thanks for the effort you've put into the table.

Must...not...edit...

By 'townie', I don't preclude a non-mafia role, including the VI role. But those active on night 0 are unlikely to have night roles, including the mafia role.

What's going on here lads? I leave you alone for a while and all sorts of wild accusations begin.

Now, where was I? Ah, yes...

Vote Moar

Page 2 guys? wow...

Do I need other reasons?

Yes actually you do.

Vote Jaago

Now let me explain. I voted for Touch last time because of inactivity and not contributing anything while still voting. That however didn't work out. I said Jaago and Moar were suspects too. Jaago was the most talkative and I could see where his allignment was. After that post he hasn't said anything to help us out.. made 4 posts (of the top of my head) and in one he actually states that the information we have is abysmal. So why not add to it? I think it's either honest or a good cover up to say we're here to play for fun. It is true ofcourse, but with that statement you give yourself a good reason to act differently. Post 563 did rub me the wrong way. ''Oh you voted for me? Then I'll vote for you.'' He quoted himself saying the reasoning from Gohabs didn't make sence, but after that he did exactly the same.
After that he said he'd be off which is likely true. However it also pretty much says: I voted for Gohabs now and it doesn't matter what he says, that vote stays put.

@Rash: I never, ever said I needed to send a PM. Lister just assumed I meant sending, instead of reading, and you jumped on that bandwagon. If you want to believe I had to send something, fine. But please don't post that I said so.

I don't have time to cross-check votes or inconsistencies at the moment. I want to vote, but I don't really have a sensible target. The only thing I can think of is my old suspect.

Vote: Rashiminos

As an added note, looking for inconsistensies if fine. But we're all humans (I'm assuming ) and we are inconsistent beings. Don't go overboard on it. Most importantly, don't jump on a single miss-wording like it's the mark of the devil. Not all of us are native english speakers.

If it's possible, can someone with some time on their hands provide a vote tally? I'm too swamped at work to do it myself. I can't even tell, from all the chaos, if there's a trend developing.

From Day 1:

Would you like to share with us? Holding back on info can be quite disastrous, as I have seen myself.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that, even with this, LORD NIKON hasn't really added much information to this game?

Now, there could well be a reasonable explanation for this, but I'm strongly tempted to throw a vote his way. As I've said in my previous post, it'd help his position a lot to explain a little why he hasn't been active with this statement in his history, as well as why he advocated no lynching on the first night despite that idea being repeatedly challenged. He also doesn't seem to be playing as aggressively as before. I'd love to hear from him and get this changed if he has a good reason, but until then...

Vote: LORD NIKON

P.S.: votes are all over the place right now...if we do want to lynch someone, we'd better tighten up soon. Rashiminos doesn't seem like a huge problem to me, since he's too noisy to last for too much longer before becoming suspicious. I never really put much stock into Moar's one "slip," but if there's something else out there I didn't notice, like a voting record oddity, that could be important. GoHabsGo seems a bit odd, especially since he called for no lynching early in the first day, but I'm not sure if he just offered that idea up out of frustration or not. Jaago...can't really tell. I thought he was clean since he put so much effort into looking around earlier, but then my assumption that a confused townie is more likely than a Mafia member to do that might not necessarily hold.
