Frankly, I keep wondering whether Muzzz did not by accident insert a village idiot role in here by accident :grin:
@goltar - You probably guessed it, but while your defense seems honest enough, it's not particularly strong. Coming up with 'bizarre' schemes at the stat is a whole barrel of fun, but at this point of the game, particularly in this particualr situation, with a fairly large group of people trying to sniff out a well hidden bad guy, it's only detrimental. You know it, I know it.
Voting - You slip your vote in at the end of the day because you are afraid you might forget who you voted for? Well, there's a couple of easy cures for that :
1) Research the thread for posts made by yourself during the last two days.
2) Look at Muzzz's helpful vote tally halfway during the day.
3) Use a notepad on the desktop with your vote in it, update it when you change it.
Also, you are afraid of a vendetta? Right now, the abilities chosen by the bad guys have been positively identified. Vendetta is not part of it. Even if it was, I'd be thrilled if someone used vendetta on me as a regular townie (which you claim to be), since not only does it mean you played the game so well the opponent thought it merited the use of their special ability to get rid of you, but your death in that manner would greatly help accelerate the townies to finding the villains (3 NK instead of 2? Vendetta has been used. Who opened voting on whom?)
Now, back to that crucial day 3 (why day 3? Because it saw the lynch of the third mafia member, which means our greed victim HAD already been turned at that point).
Post 412 by Muzzz gives the vote tally for that day, and also states there are but 4 hours left. As you can see, at that moment, MagicBoy is in the lead with 4 votes, and Thyiad is following with 3.
Post 414 is by Goltar, and surprise surprise, he casts a vote for thyiad, deadlocking the vote. It's his first vote for the day.
Post 415 is by me, and I only mention it because post 416 is by PureSummon, who based his vote on my post and votes for magicboy, PROVIDING THE FINAL VOTE
Post 417 is Thyiad, she keeps her vote on Sint while pointing out the smart thing for her would be to vote for magicboy, but she has principles
Post 422 by Muzzz ends the day. That means there were only 2 new voters after Muzzz made his tally. Goltar, who deadlocks it on thyiad, and puresummon, who locks in magicboy for the lynch.
Remember people, that day eliminated the third of the mafia scum, leaving the last one alone. If earlier posts have you pegged as a townie (Sint had a suspect list the day before, and maatiarna that same day, both listed Goltar as trusted), wouldn't you have tried to save your brother in arms from being lynched? I would, and evidently, Goltar thought among the same lines.
Whereas, if it was Puresummon who was the last mafia, why would he cast the final vote and be the cause of lynching his buddy when thyiad was an easy alternative?
No, when rereading, this was one of the major reasons why I pegged Goltar as my most likely greed suspect. Nothing he said so far has changed this.
