Re: OT: SPF mafia round 7 - Return to Salem
Well, now that lukin's goose looks cooked, we should spend the remaining ~24 hours trying to nut out a plan. We certainly need to account for contingencies (e.g. lukin showing townie, which I doubt), but we need a decent and adaptable plan of attack if we are to prevent a lone remaining bad guy laughing as we assist their victory. I've already suggested we go after Bob and fried following lukin, and a few others seem to suspect both of them, so I move this as a worthwhile plan until one or the other or both of them decide to favour us with some more information, especially Bob.
The fact is, there is pretty much no good reason (as I see it) to hold back at this stage. Nearly everyone has a standing claim, we know two of our power roles, we have a player who reacts in the most guilty way possible to being blocked - by not reacting, leaving them floundering when it is later revealed they were out and about. I predict that after today we will be down to one bad guy, which will be good as he can't kill both the Goon and the Snoop, and faces the chance of being prevented by either the Goon or the doc.
I said previously the power roles this round were pretty much useless and therefore expendable, and I believe that generally to be true, but I believe they will come into their own if we get down to 1 lone baddy. 1 lynch per night against 3 power roles, two who can prevent said lynch, is very much in the town's favour. And if the Goon hits successfully, voila, it is game over.
It has been suggested that a lone bad guy could try the lie low trick, but all that could provide is a stalemate. The only to a win is being lucky enough to be the last lynch candidate picked by the town.
Anyway, some thoughts to ponder while we take care of getting rid of lukin.
