Re: Mad schemes -
I've just been struck by another idea about this. If you're a townie and haven't revealed which ability you chose, keep it that way - do not tell us. I think that, if we choose to go down the route of my drink/doc scheme, we might be able to use the uncertainty about which ability you have to get more bang for our buck from the drinking ability. The point is that we're actually using the threat of drinking to shut down NKs, as opposed to the effect of the ability. Therefore, we don't necessarily need to drink, we just need to raise the possibility.
Outline: Townie with unknown ability steps forward. Doc covers, everyone else stays home. If the townie took the drinking ability, they use it. If they took 'stay cautious', they do nothing. The EotF are thus forced to take a risk if they want to NK. If the townie chose the drinking ability, they are 50/50 to get found out if they try and NK. If the townie chose 'stay cautious', they can NK safely... but they won't know when it's safe and when it isn't.
Thoughts? Other proposals are very welcome, and they don't have to be as complex as this. The most important thing is that we decide on something by the end of today. Some people will inevitably disagree with whatever we choose, but once we get a majority view people will need to respect that regardless of their personal opinion.
