Re: ATMA Question: Gold Transfer

You have to also have the character that is getting/giving the gold open at that time.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

I installed Atma V and i am getting ad-ware notices from my anti-virus application.
Is it supposed to be there? If not, how can I get a clean copy?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

If you downloaded that from the site linked to in the the stickies here you should not be getting any ad-aware notices. I know I don't.

EDIT: That looks like the one in the first page of this post. Are you sure it's ATMA that's tripping Ad-aware. Because I run both and mine is fine.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Linky looks clean to me. If you're using one of the "established" virus scanners, chances are you can mail it to them for inspection.

EDIT: I'm not, btw, saying you should worry about that archive until the virus company says it's good. Rather, I'm suggesting you send it to help them fix their false-positive read :wink3:

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Kapersky is notoriously vicious. I run AVG Free, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy and none of them have an issue with the .zip or the extracted installer or the extracted directory. I think I can say *every* person here has a copy of ATMA from that download and it's fine.

I think if you know what you're doing Kap is fine - Denton uses it IIRC - but it annoyed me and I reinstalled AVG. I don't need Kap to whine about a firewall every three seconds thats what my router/modem is for.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Get the latest virus definitions for Kapersky. It's what's known as a "false positive" and it happens pretty often. Actually, it's happening more recently, I think it's most likely a conspiracy :)

Interestingly, another program has been reported to come up with it on the 31st Jan, so it sounds like they buggered something up.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Silo, is there a way to turn off the auto-backup feature in GoMule. I don't use GoMule but Flavie direct to run reports and it's annoying as hell having to take out the individual .backup files in order to get a correct report.

I'm not using GoMule to run reports because it still can't load all of the items in a directory and I have an extensive number of stashes for HC, SC Modded, SC Vanilla and Classic and GoMule is too cumbersome to load each stash file one by one.

Thanks.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Depending on how many directories you want to load, turning off "include sub-directories" in Flavie might help a little.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Directories aren't the problem Muzzz. It's GoMules habit of making 800 backups. I don't need them, I don't want them, I just want to turn them off.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

So....you want a version of GoMule without backups? I can make you one, if that's what you want. The option isn't there because people *will* turn it off, then complain if something goes wrong and they lose stuff.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Silo ... this is Ms "back up to second hard drive", "Back up to flash device" and "backup and email files" to herself.

If I lose all that I'm an idiot and that's my fault.

And please while you're at it, get GoMule the ability to load the whole directory (not the stashes) just the directory/file names in one go, the way Atma does. Please.

Thank you.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

GoMule topic:
I've got a list of Characters open of every char and mule I own under "characters" on the left side. This works well for me, and I can create reports from it no problem.

What is the benefit of a stash in GoMule?
1. There is no stash created by default from the characters you've loaded correct?
2. The way to create a stash is to double click the "All" link on the left column?
Doing this creates a "stash?" (if not some of my later questions won't make sense, keep this in mind)
Where does this stash file reside?
3. So I've clicked on "All," and this loads every character I have in the left column?
This stash can only be taken from and not added to?

Questions (not to be taken sarcastically):
1. What is the benefit of a stash that you can't add to (when adding to chars is np)?
2. Is the stash a simple "read-only" list of your items?
3. Opening my "All" stash, the window with my items is scrunched into the left side. I can't expand this window so as to read all the columns of each item (ie. lvl, str, dex, etc.). Known bug or am I missing the task to do this?
4. When including my report into a weblink so as to share my report, the report ends up being a white page with black text, no colors, columns, etc..
Any ideas on what to do to keep the cool format?

Thanks for reading these absolute retarded questions.
I searched for the answers but didn't find them, and this thread is Huuuu... uuuuge.

Ok, I don't *quite* understand some of what you're saying here, so the answers may reflect that :)

1) Why on earth would a stash be created by default from the characters you've loaded? A stash is intended as an easy spot to put items without having to worry about character space, not a replacement for characters.

2) Incorrect, if you look at the "guide :)" http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/8504/screenshot7fo5.png then you'll see that the second button in from the left is designed to create a new stash. The all items view on the panel on the left is something different.

3) Correct!

Basically the all items stash combines everything together to give you a view of everything you have in the GoMule project. So if you're looking for a specific item and you can't remember which char it was on, you do the all items view and there you go, you can retrieve it. You can't add to it because that would be stupid. Where would the items you add go? Randomly onto each stash or character? Doesn't make any sense, you wouldn't know where your items are ending up.

1) Already answered, I hope :) There is no benefit, it's something different.

2) And again, a stash is just a simple place to dump items in an organised fashion. You'll get the hang of it once you find the buttons to press.

3) I have no idea what you're talking about, a screenshot would really help.

4) You need to include the "standard.css" file that should be in the same folder as your report html file. This applies styles when you put it in the same folder on the website.

Hope that helps!

No problem.
I feel like I'm black box testing this app, I have really no knowledge of how muling programs work, should work, etc.. This is the first muling program I've used, if you keep that in mind you'll see you'll see where I'm coming from with these questions.
Also, since there really isn't a "how to guide" for all of it's wonderful features I just have to try things out.

1) Why on earth would a stash be created by default from the characters you've loaded? A stash is intended as an easy spot to put items without having to worry about character space, not a replacement for characters.
This is exactly why I'm asking, I don't know what is intended here :-)
Thank you for the explanation.

Again, this explanation is exactly what I'm looking for.

Here's a screenie of my UI problem. Notice the left hand item columns entited; name, vl, str, dex, etc. I can't expand the window that contains these columns to the right so as to see all the data that each column lists.
Make sense?

Great, I'll try this out.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

So I create a "stash" with this button, which is an empty window (no items). How do I add to it?

Hit the "drop" button and each item will be removed from the item clipboard and placed in the stash. Hit the "drop all" button and all items on the item clipboard will be placed in the stash. Hit "pickup" to put items on the item clipboard. (screenshot below should help).

When you hover over the line that separates your colums (red line in the diagram below), the cursor should change. Then it's just like a spreadsheet, click and drag to expand.

I'll make them slightly bigger by default, thanks for throwing that up.

And hey, no probs. I guess it's my fault for not making a guide yet :) I'll make one soon. 2 more weeks then I'm pretty much done at university till exams.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

Yep, I did try to expand it by hovering over the far right column line (next to the up arrow), but I couldn't pull it right.
Guess I can pull them all left to open them wider but then I end up getting the name of the items cut off.

Thanks for taking this into consideration.

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

1. How many items can the clipboard hold at once?
2. Time for the million dollar "would-be-awesome-and-a-life-saver-but-probably-isn't-a-function- question":
Is there a way to load items on the clipboard without doing "single clicking" and putting items up one at a time?
For instance, can I load all items on a character onto the clipboard in one fell swoop?
I only ask because I have over 500 items loaded onto over 30 different characters....

Re: Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread

1. How many items can the clipboard hold at once?

No idea. It's probably an integer, so something like the integer limit, but close to it.

2. Time for the million dollar "would-be-awesome-and-a-life-saver-but-probably-isn't-a-function- question":

That's a nuts idea :P Don't use the clipboard as a main item store, in case you're thinking of doing that. If you want to transfer easily to a stash then yeah, I can see how this would be useful. But in general, people organise their stashes into uniques, sets, etc etc. This is because in reality the stashes take up quite a bit of memory. In ATMA you start seeing serious slowdown around 2K items (I think it's around 2K) and in GoMule when you hit around 10 - 20K items (I can't remember exactly), you crash with a memory exception.

The whole purpose of the "all items" view is to allow you to be able to easily get items without having to transfer everything off your characters. Use that instead and don't leave your poor characters naked :)
